Nice try Alan , now you’ve got more time to put I’m sure the fish will show for you . Best get a life jacket if you plan getting down them banks a bit …safety first Alan none of us are getting any younger . Thanks for sharing

Thanks mate yes it can be a bit hairy at times on the river bank I have slipped a couple of times but thankfully not in the water. Hope your fishing is going well see you on the next one.

@@intercity735 haven’t managed the river lately Alan I have been chasing carp and tench on henfield waters etc and have to say I have done very well but my attention may shift to sea now for the best 2months of the year ( weather permitting 🙄) and return for a pike when the whiting arrive

Glad your catching mate I use to do a lot of sea fishing myself especially as a young lad with my dad but I have to say that bait digging does my back in though I may give it a go again one day I use to enjoy catching flounders etc on the arm and beach also over the locks at Southwick until they stopped you from fishing there

@@intercity735 totally get the bait digging thing 😉 and the arms are still some of my favourite places to visit with a great variety of species on some visits, not liked by all I guess but it saves me the embarrassment of my casting in front of others 🙃. Sadly the flounders are struggling ,especially in the river with a population crash . Used to love fishing within the port when a child but sadly so many spots( almost all !) are not permitted now as you said … 🤷🏻‍♂️oh well we diversify and move on 👍

Aways interesting. out of interest what camera do you use and what would you like to use?

Hi, Ray my main camera is an Akaso v50 pro not cheap but not the most expensive and I'm happy to keep using this one. Funny you should mention my camera as the latest video I've put out disaster struck when my camera and tripod toppled over into the river just before I started fishing,I managed to get it back but water had got inside it meaning it was unusable for half the session until it dried out now thankfully it's working again. But I have a cheaper back up camera a Crosstour where I find the picture quality is okay but the audio is not very loud but on this occasion when I really needed another camera it got me out of trouble. The camera I use the Akaso I like because it's simple to operate and pretty reliable.

Alan on the club site they said there was no more fishing at Mock bridge due to the farm changing ownership, have you heard anything now about being allowed to use those banks again mate?

Hi mate,you had me worried for a minute an angler who use to fish for Henfield but left in the close season has told me the access to Mock has been restricted (only through the kissing gate opposite Bull Inn) and through the bog field on the Henfield side. I believe you can still climb over the bridge if you want to fish the other side of bank. For me on bike just past the bridge there is a gate which takes you straight on the public footpath on to the river but it takes you further up to the footbridge.My membership map also shows we can fish both sides of bank upstream but no fishing at all downstream. Also access has been lost at New Inn which means walking either down from the fork or up from Streatham if anyone can add any more info that would be welcome.

As far as I know it's the access (parking your car) which has been lost but you can still fish at Mock.

Okay mate I just want to make sure because I won't fish Mock again if we are not allowed to is it just the access that has changed or the rights to fish there ?

Hi, Snerper I've just spoken to Mick Fish of Henfield Angling Society and it's good news we can still fish Mockbridge on both sides of the bank. It's the parking and access to the bank that has changed which doesn't affect me on my bike. You have to go through the gate near the bus stop opposite Bull Inn then walk across the field. If you want to fish on the other bank you can just climb over the wall so all is fine.
