River Adur Honeybridge Stream Part 2 Wednesday 5th March 2024

This is part 2 of my roving chub session on the Honeybridge Stream fishing swims at the bottom end towards the road bridge.

Hi Alan, another really interesting season of fishing, nice to end with a chub. Agree with comment, regarding spinners, very good Mock bridge area, if you do be sure to use wire trace and enjoy … looking forward to next season and pond videos 🎣

Hi Helen, Yes all over so quick still won't be long before the new season starts I often see pike anglers up at Mock bridge spinning for pike.I should be out on a pond somewhere in a couple of weeks

Hi Kevin,thanks for that yes I will I need to fish the lock more often I've had a couple of carp sessions up there and blanked but I know quite a few carp come out up there so next season I'll definitely try on the lock

Hi Alan thanks again for another interesting video, have you tried running a spinner or lure through the swim you could catch perch,pike or even chub, just a thought, when I was a kid Iused to catch some nice perch spinning under Mock bridge , is honey bridge near chess bridge? anyway take care will look out for you next fishing adventure .

Hi Frederick, No I've never tried spinners or lures a good idea one that I may try next season. Honey bridge is in Ashurst where Chess bridge is in Henfield. If you take the B2135 Ashurst to Partridge green road if your coming up from Steyning turn left into School lane if your coming from Horsham turn right into School lane follow the road round past Ashurst primary school onto Honey bridge Lane until you come to a solar farm where you will see the road bridge overlooking the stream just up from the road bridge is a gate go through the gate and a second gate on your right then walk down to the stream hope this helps Frederick.

The irony just when you talked about the quiet of the Rivers that bloomin Helicopter had its say. Your a fit chap with all that cycling, much like a 1950s Angler ! Chub are a shoal fish, big ones more solitary, consider how you play and land the fish as that may scare the shoal ? Pity you cannot worm for Trout on that Clubs rivers. DO a pond, DO a pond, DO a pond etc..................

Hi Ray, I know sods law just saying how peaceful it was and the helicopter flies over and just after I packed up a couple of dogs came bounding over without an owner still never mind I've really enjoyed the season on the river and I will be doing a pond or two in the close season thanks again Ray for your tips always appreciated I'm still learning this river fishing and you can never stop learning.
