River Ness 10K Race Test: Nike Alphafly 3, Apple Watch 10 vs Ultra 2 & Garmin Fenix 8 tested

The River Ness 10K is part of the Loch Ness Marathon festival in Iverness, and it boasts one of the fastest 10K courses we’ve run thanks to a net downhill profile. Nick was out looking for a speedy time on the course, and testing a whole load of gear as always, with the main kit being the Nike Alphafly 3, Apple Watch 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, plus the Garmin Fenix 8. Here’s how he got on.

Nick, I have the same issues with the Apple Watch pacing. It's so weird. Not that it really matters when I'm so slow, but it's definitely annoying!

I wish I had a fast 10K race near me. There’s a fast 15K in October, but I ran that last year.

I traded AWU series 1 for series 10. I use stryd. I think it’s an upgrade considering the size/weight difference.
