Is it possible to be melancholy and satisfied at the same time? The Unthanks seem to make the unlikely the most natural thing in the world 😍

Great song. I always wondered how you came to write the song about the Bay of Fundy. Did you get inspired by a visit?
@shaunysaysАй бұрын
It's not an Unthanks written song. Originally written mid 70s by Gordon Bok. Many great covers over the years including my favourite sung by The Keelers of which George Unthank is a member.
@robjudge355Ай бұрын
In a word... Boring! Repetitive, unadventurous and without any discernable melody at all. It seems that the Unthanks are well and truly past their best. First, the patchy and insipid "Sorrows Away" album, then "Dear Companions " lazily using a tune known much better as a hymn, where their use if it has none of the spark or emotion of any of the hymn versions. And now this dirge. Disappointing.

The album is wonderful and I'm looking forward to seeing it performed next week. But, call me greedy, isnt it going to be a rather short show at 70 minutes? Are any other songs performed other than album?
