I worked on a gig they did at St Georges, Kemptown, Brighton. I'd never heard them before, but I felt like we were family after hearing them, in spirit of course.

For my part, you won’t find a more phenomenal vocal timbre than Rachel Unthanks'. And the Unthanks' harmonies are simply stupendous, imo…. ⚜️

Saw the band at The Lowry a few years ago. Stunning evening. Already had the albums but was open mouthed at how they could create those beautiful crystal harmonies live. This is so sorrowful. But The Testimony of Patience Kershaw is still the one that stops me dead. Heartbreaking. Tears every time. And still relevant today. The gig wasnt all like that though. Lots of fun and dancing too. Joyful.

It's got so few views because today people have no education and only listen to PAP shoved through the various forms of devices and fabulous meaningful music is avoided at all costs

Funny till I actually learned the lyrics I thought this was about a girl getting her first period lol. Its a lot more dark.
