Just stumbled upon your channel. SUBSCRIBED Keep up these type of lessons, this is what I have been looking for. I'm 55, been bass fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod, but only have been kayak fishing since 2020. It really is a completely different style. My bass boat hasn't seen much action since I bought a kayak. Please keep these videos coming, as I've already shared the two you have available. Your explanation with the actual visual is very helpful. Good teacher!

This is great advice...if you need to do it very quietly you can scull on the draw...which keeps the paddle in the water and is a more gentle water movement.....THANKS for the shoalie...I love mine.

Nice job! No doubt one can combine paddling and using motors to double your results! Unfortunately with all the tech taking over, most newer people are going to rely on their bow mount smart motors with remotes or pedal drives, and never pick up a paddle other than in an emergency, and never learn these rewarding skills.

20.25" smallmouth. Geez. I think smallmouth have gotten bigger since I was last catching them lol. Thanks for the tip.

Haha 😂 Yeah they can get pretty big in the right parts of the country. I’ve definitely heard of smallies over 23 even being caught! Not often, but they’re out there!

Great tutorial Drew. Loving my Shoalie, BTW. I know that everybody had their own styles and their reasons for the technology they use for Kayak Fishing. I want to give myself reasons to not give into the technology craze. I did give in and got myself a Garmin 73SV, which I feel guilty about, but I wanted to see structure, depth, and water temp more than anything else with it. For me personally, anything else (trolling motors, etc.) kind of diminishes the fun and the spirit behind kayak fishing.
