Lee that’s a pretty decent rally that is. If you are new to lure fishing there’s lots to learn, and most important thing to remember is it’s easy to catch fish that haven’t been fished for much. The ones that are seeing lures all day and being caught get harder to catch. Also remember that if you aren’t catching keep moving and trying new spots. Pike will often take on the first couple of casts (not always but mostly) so don’t spend all day blanking, keep searching. Also make sure you are happy with your rod reel combo and the lures you use, get used to them so much that you can feel everything and know exactly where your lures is in the water and what it is actually doing. Sometimes just fish with a couple of lures so you get super familiar with them. Also don’t buy a bazillion lures just a few of different types that do different things. When you find a lure that you catch on, use it more and buy a spare or two. AND Most pike fishing won’t be as easy as this little series. Good luck and enjoy it.

What a cracking day Paul. As you say, on light gear they don’t have to be big. I fish for Perch most of the time but catch more Pike than big Perch, but still enjoy the bend in the rod. Great to see you out having fun 👍

I think a big part of that is his we fish the lures Paul. Sometimes the perch are up for it and they’ll hit anything even the big lures but most times they want it slower and in their face. As for this session, two last videos to finish the day off are up Friday and Sunday. Then I’ve a couple of new videos made for the week after both doing something different

Is a Svartzonker Mcrubber 21cm in Motor Oil colour. Should be some on eBay but not sure if there is that colour. We got ours when we were in Sweden.
