I understand Harry’s need for therapy or anyone for that matter. Life can be confusing and complicated at times. What I don’t understand is the malice he so publicly inflicts on his family. His behaviour is vindictive, immature and petulant.

@@alidabotes6264 Well, I find that really great news! It seems like King Charles is finally catching on to the dastardly duo! I only hope that he adds more and more instructions/rules before they actually get to the Coronation! Perhaps they will decide not to go, but, of course, the duo will complain of racism, unfair treatment, favoritism of others, etc., whatever complaints they come up with because you know they will as they are professional complainers. Greetings River, I just retired from working for California’s Social Services department. Harry should really give some thought regarding boasting about his ongoing drug use before someone reports him to Child Protective Services (which has an anonymous report line). Once that happens, he will have a hard time getting out of the system. Instead of blubbering on about how damaging not being hugged is on children, perhaps his next quest should be on how drug abuse damages families especially children.

I was diagnosed several years ago with PTSD, major depressive disorder, and anxiety/panic disorders. I NEVER treated my family like Harold has done his family. After my mother passed,I found out that the man that raised me was NOT my father. The man I believed was my father, passed 2 years after my mother. The knowledge was a punch in the gut! Absolutely knocked the wind out if my sails. I went through a few different therapists. I finally landed on a trauma based therapist. I struggled with depression and mood. No matter what I went through, I didn't sink to Harold's low point. I had a breakthrough when I had to list the points in my life that was memorable. Whether good or bad. The mother that I adored, was revealed as someone that failed me. I had to face the fact that she LIED TO ME. She didn't protect me from my "father" beating me. In fact, she wasn't much of a mother at all. Once the blinders were removed. I was instructed to write her a letter. At the end, I was told to sign it with "goodbye". It hurt like Hell to face all of this. Don't recall ever crying so much. But the peace it gave me, was miraculous! I forgave my mother. I forgave myself. One of the things that's important if taking anti-psychotic drugs, is to NOT use illicit drugs. Lest, you wind up like Harold.

@@fibrowarriors thank you! I had many things to discuss in therapy. One of the things I learned, is to forgive. As long as you hold onto hate,resentment, shame, etc. it gives power to the person to continue hurting you. You don't have to forget. But once I forgave, it became easier to forget. If that makes sense. I now live a happy and fulfilling life with grown children and beautiful grandchildren. The tools I gained through therapy, I've been able to apply to every day life. I'm not near as stressed as I used to be. What used to be weeks of debilitating depression is now 1-2 days. I'm able to get up and fight it now. I notice Harold said he was in fight or flight mode. I learned that there's a 3rd mode. Freeze. It is obvious that Harold is not receiving proper therapy. He is seeing "yes men". He has yet to look deeply inside of himself. He's painting a picture of being a perpetual victim, yet he won't admit to his choices that have led to critique and consequences. He hasn't given in and been 100% honest. And the so called therapists are certainly not pushing him. It's more money for them if they can keep him in "therapy". These are just my thoughts and opinions, of course. Sending well wishes to you, and prayers for forgiveness of your mother. Take her power away, dear. 🇺🇲

It can so often be the case that the people who've suffered the most can end up being the strongest. The people who whine the most are often the most well off. Of course Harold had a terrible experience. His mum dying when he was only 12 and having to mourn her in the glare of publicity. Plus all this happening after his parents had divorced rather messily. But he'll have had very easy access to help and support that most children have to wait in line for. Not to mention all the advantages of being Royal. Being able to move forward in life has been in his own power since he became a man. Of course that needs a lot of work and effort. But that's life. And if he can't even show an awareness of his advantages in life, rather than continual moaning and whining. Well,he can hardly expect people's sympathy to be unending.

Your description of your mother-in-law reminded me of a time in India when a feral street dog gave birth to a litter of puppies. She was viciously defending them from any and all passers by. i couldn't agree more that it dilutes resources. I studied psychology then education so i tend to always be working with children who have special/additional needs. There seem to be these catch-all diagnoses that go in and out of fashion. We had add then adhd, then adhd of various types on a continuum, then we had asperger's, then more generalised autism of different levels, and lately believe it or not, every second child is getting diagnosed with dyslexia and other -exia's and I promise you, a lot of them have not a single diagnostic criteria for dyslexia. Practitioners are now saying THAT is on a continuum. In the past I always thought it was important to get a dignosissapa - so that we we all know what we are dealing with, right? Now I'm very reticent to resort to that, it labels a child AND a family, and they get a lot of badgering , unwarranted advice, disrespect and judgment. And the children really do face discrimination - just that it's dressed up as kindness in wokery.

The universities are doing these young people no favours. All they're doing is encouraging OTT fragility, instead of opening minds. Of course this doesn't mean having to be cold and unfeeling. People have genuine worries that need addressing. But higher education should also be helping young adults to deal with the feeling of being offended in a healthy way. Because people do say things all the time that we feel affronted by. But it doesn't mean that we have to fall apart.

As a kid in the 70s, I grew up in a council estate, we played on the streets under the blocks of flats, (there was less traffic then, at least) and the inevitable window was occasionally broken by a football going the wrong way...when all the kids would scarper. We cycled and roller-skated on the roads and tried playing "cricket" for a while, but had to stop quickly when the ball dented a parked car. The tenants on the ground floor would often move us along if we were sitting around or playing under their windows. Playgrounds and parks were few and far between. Some areas, like you said, were off-limits because the "druggies' went there. We were grateful for school outings that took us somewhere new for the day. I remember a few among us were really poor kids, in worn-out clothes and shoes with holes in them. There are still many children who are growing up in similar circumstances. This man has not just had it all, but has had an incredibly privileged upbringing, and has not appreciated any of it. What a waste.

As a bonafide 'mad' person, albeit stable, with the diagnoses to prove it; I can honestly say the only times I've ever experienced anyone getting upset over the use of words such as 'mad', 'crazy', 'nuts', 'nutter', etc, is when someone without a lived experience of mental illness has decided to (unhelpfully) inform those of us with lived experience as to what words in the English language we're supposed to be offended by. Sorry not sorry, but as a long term member of the nut farm I am perfectly capable of deciding for myself whether a particular word or turn of phrase is something I personally find offensive; I don't need some well meaning do-gooder speaking on my behalf. With that being said I can think of a few choice words for Harry, and 'mad' would certainly be on the milder end of the scale.

People do not realise how awful real mental illness is. In a professional way I have come across people who are tormented by severe illness and there is no way to joke about it. But as I discovered ,on moving to Texas, that "Mad " means "angry", 'really angry', whereas in Britain it means slightly "batty" OR over-enthusiastic as in "I am mad (or even crazy) about that hat/dress/boy". I must have confused /annoyed so many people in Texas I blush at the thought !

Hi River. Love your show and never miss an episode. I work in the mental health field and the diagnosis's that Harry received are ones given to just about everyone. We all suffer with one or more of them to some degree but it's how we work through them that matters. Some of us learn coping skills while others simply use them as an excuse for bad behavior. My bet is on the later for Harry. As for Meghan being one of Harry's drugs of choice... you read my mind. She's very clever and works to manipulate people. I'm sure she started that with him on day one and since he has such a weak mind, he was ripe for the picking. A good and loving wife would discourage his drug use, but I would imagine she encourages and enables it which keeps him pliable and agreeable to her machinations. The sad fact is this cruel game she is playing with Harry can't last forever and at some point, will end. Sorry for Harry when it does. River, you are gorgeous and Royal. Thanks for being fabulous!

@@JH-xh6gn I agree. Can't say that I'm a Harry fan but I feel that much of his family bashing has been encouraged by Meghan. Remove her from the equation and I feel he would still be cherishing and loving them...not hating and bashing. So sad. She has set out to isolate him from his family, which is a form of abuse and has separated him from his past. She is always grasping his hands, which is a physical form of control, another technique she implemented on day one. That's an interesting technique since it can be perceived as a form of love and affection. She's the controlling adult in their arrangement. Mind control...
@maidenmarian1
@maidenmarian1 Жыл бұрын
@Bruno Kefler, Yes she started with her claws on day one. I pray each day she will be removed from the equation. He cannot think straight. I feel he is so empty. She started with her manipulations the moment they met. A separate KZbin stated this week that he iscliving in SF and using drugs there. I wonder WHERE Dr.Mate and he met for their ridiculous Live Stream. Dr. Mate made a lot if ethical errors in this silly therapy session or conversation. I am very happy he showed H that he has some Authority. H has lost all sense of respect for anyone in authority and has somehow been erroniously led to believe that he himself has some expertise. H has NO education and NO expertise. He functions without verifying what is really true and what is the correct protocol. I will rejoice when the witch leaves him. NO ONE should have to be trapped in Mind Control. That is no way to live.
@brunokefler1175
@brunokefler1175 Жыл бұрын
@@maidenmarian1 Thats a great analysis. One of Harry's biggest fears is in NOT being relevant. He is even intimidated by his nephew, who is second in line to the throne, followed by his niece. I wonder why it is so important for him to be relevant. Why does it matter? I think part of it has to do with his wife wanting to be an influencer and you have to be relevant to influence. Sad fact for her is that she isn't relevant. Her name has become a household word not for being an amazing person but for being a horrible person. She is everything most people find repulsive and don't care to emulate. So, the pressure is on Harry to BE somebody. If Meghan can't be relevant, then the pressure is on him to pick up that mantal. He has to be good at something, so he passes himself off as an authority on mental health issues. Thing is his only knowledge is being on the receiving end of a therapist's desk. This makes him a fraud. Pathetic actually. He married a grifter and she has taken him down the rabbit hole of her sick and twisted world. My question is why his family never ran a background check on her to reveal what kind of person she is. Her past is pretty evident to her present.
@brunokefler1175
@brunokefler1175 Жыл бұрын
@@janmortimer1758 I agree. Also, not much is being said about mother, Doria. She has a MH background and I'm sure coaches Meghan on what to do and say. She's no innocent bystander and is the third person in their relationship. Harry married them both, which is pretty sick if you think about it. Ma Doria of the Markle clan.

I've always called Harry's "love" for Meghan an obsession because that's what it comes off as. I will let him off the hook to an extent though because I think Meghan became one of his drugs by design. Emotional abuse is all about metering out just the right amount of dopamine to keep the other person hooked--and in between you can treat them as awfully as you'd like, including getting them to do your bidding to any extent. What Meghan wants, Meghan gets, after all. We can't know what goes on behind their doors but everything M&H recount about their own relationship points to emotional abuse from Meghan's end.

The opening of this video has me in stitches! I’ve laughed so hard because I can relate to everything your are saying. I may need an oxygen tank soon! River, you are absolutely adorable! Your eyes are so expressive. I’ve added you to my list of people I would love to hang out with even though sadly I know it will never happen. I thank you for pointing out that some people seek out those that will tell them they have something just for sympathy. I truly have PTSD from a few things in my life. The worst was having a stalker who dressed in the Scream movie outfit and held a knife to my throat. He also told me where he would bury me alive. Therapy was useless. Total gobbledygook ! All it did was make me worse. I have never seen Harry get the look in his face, the tightness in the jaw to where you can’t breathe ever and you do when talking about it, if you have it. I’m grinding my teeth now. So thank you for stating that people really do have these traumas and people like him are making a mockery of it! I do have a question, a few videos back now, did I see a picture of Alexander Orlov, the Meerkat from the commercials just over you left shoulder almost above that beautiful stained glass? I truly hope so, I absolutely love him and when I lived for a brief time in the UK, yes, he was my text ringtone (drove my ex crazy... good!) Also a chief addiction (and a getting a little weird, his mother. I loved Diana, but if they talk about her anymore I may just go mad myself!

As a former heroin addict (20 years clean as of December last year) I think I can safely say that cold turkey both sucks and blows; it also happens to be the easy part of getting clean. If all it took to get off a drug like heroin was for someone to get through a week or so of feeling like death warmed up, then the number of addicts would be greatly reduced. It's the psychological part of the addiction that is the tricky bit, and unfortunately that psychological need, or craving, can all too easily end up being transferred onto something else (relationships, therapy, self help groups, etc) with oftentimes negative results. When it comes to psychological addiction, in my opinion at least, if you think/talk about your relationship in the same way you would describe your relationship with any substance, then you've got a problem & should probably seek help before you do too much psychological damage to yourself, or those around you.

Fabulous River, thanks for unwrapping this unsavory conversation. The thought that this person is sitting alone, secluded and cushioned from everything and constantly getting high sounds like such a fall from grace. What can be salvaged now. Who supplies the drugs? So many images come to mind; Cobain, Belushi, Jackson... such an extensive list of lives separated from reality. The Meghan addiction is on another level, more and more distasteful as it continues. Absolutely no one thinks it is healthy or going to end well. I think people are tiring of trying to help him and get him to see the situation as it really is. It is almost as if he wants to become so unlikeable that no one will want to save him any longer. At this point, I sincerely hope there are no children around him. Ending up talking about happier coronation news, wonderful! We all need hope and happiness to add a little sparkly brightness to our day~

Who supplies? It's Cali. Many retail weed shops in every community. Probably just has the valet nip over and pick up a few choice strains.

Just look at this comment section, River! It´s all laughter, love, appreciation and you deserve every bit of it! You had me rolling today and at the same time you hit the nail on the head: Nutmeg is Harry´s addiction now.
