I would say there was a lot r&b sounding kpop back then... especially if you're looking at b sides or songs that were on albums. One of the reasons I personally gravitated to kpop in 2000/2001 was because it reminded me of 90s and 80s r&b

@@sanabakkoush shinee's replay was sampled from a well known r&b song...but yes a good amount especially male solo artists like JYP, Rain, Taebin and Se7en were heavily r&b..solo female I would say Bada. dbsk was r&b influenced as a group...a lot of their a cappella songs was very reminiscent of something a lot of black r&b groups were known for doing especially between the 60s and 90s...their tracks like million men was definitely more r&b... groups like fly to the sky as well. I think a lot of ppl think the hip-hop and r&b influence is a recent thing but it goes all the way back to seojii and the boys.

This is from 8 years ago so this a couple years after the three other members left I think with this one they were just trying to find what works. The song is amazing tvxq is consistently coming out with amazing songs. When I first watched this video five years ago I noticed the awkwardness in some shots but like you guys said they are so clean now so with this one you can see how much they have grown. they have been around for fifteen years so they are great at what they do. Yes Before U Go was a release from 2011 aka the year TVXQ! Officially began promoting again as a duo after they were forced to be in hiatus because of the mess that was in 2009, i respect Yunho & Changmin so much cause these two went A LOT! they were basically labeled traitors just for the mere fact that their hearts & dreams never changed, and they didn’t leave with the other 3 members people came at them & worst their families 💔 but these two came back and proved themselves in actions not only words growing better & breaking records until this day. And still performing with the same if not more energy & commanding stage presence!! do you guys know that in 2018 they had a 3 days concert in Nissan Stadium in Japan mobilizing over 200,000 in only those 3 days & overall 1 Million audience number for their 2018 Begin Again tour in Japan beating even local Japanese artists for the No1 most concert attendance!!! A 15 years idols did that!! They’re the absolute LEGENDS!! and forever my ultimate i don’t even stan kpop i only stan TVXQ!

TVXQ/DBSK is a legendary old kpop group. All 5 members were so talented and their vocals are so out of this world. As youve seen only 2 members are left on the group U-Know (Yunho) and Max (Changmin) the other 3 members formed another group called JYJ u shud check their song “In heaven”

I think the reason whyhe thinks Changminis uncomfortable (and i think he did at that tine hehe) its because this song was released when they started again as duo so Changmin was not yet comfortable again as an artist. In the past he leads the vocal but at that time, they were only 2 members so he needs to keep up with Yunho as he is the main dancer before. Now these two Changmin and Yunho, are the main vocal, main dancer, visual of their group. They grow as an artist

TVXQ (or dbsk which stand for Dong Bang Shin Ki) were originally 5 member group consisting of Jaejoong, Yuchun, Junsu with the "duo" Yunho and Changmin. They have the greatest live vocals in kpop!!! They're the ones who started the Hallyu wave in asia!!! Thanks to them we got to know kpop!!! Salute to the "rising gods of the east" (literal meaning of DBSK)

Some of the stuff y’all said about the dancing make sense cause This is their 2nd video (1st album repackage) as a Duo And they didn’t use dancers as much when they was five members Now they always have dancers And u can recognize some of the dancers Also Changmin was originally a visual and vocal member And Yunho was originally a dancer and rapper member (dancing even before he became an idol) When they other members left, their positions had to be changed That why one dances better than the other I think they’ve gotten better but also they play to their strengths They are old enough to know their skills and how to use them Thank you for reacting to TVXQ

My God it's been a long time since I saw this TVXQ video! The one Dizz pointed out, yes I can see Changmin is a little stiff here. I think he's improved over the years too. I think they didn't put them on different clothes precisely because Changmin was a little awkward. With all the dancers and the same clothes, and everything else it's not that obvious if you're not looking too closely. Especially since his partner, Yunho is actually known as one of the best dancers in Kpop, so the contrast might have been too obvious otherwise? I still love them!! I love this song, gosh memories. Thank you for the reaction :) Ps: Yes they were 5 before, the split was a sad story that involved messy lawsuits and members separation. This video was like 1.5/2 years after that.

This single was one of the first ones that came out after the group split. They were at their peak right before the group split and it was very hard for them to come back as 2 when they were once 5. The members that left were also the more popular members - 2 of the ex members were main and lead singers. So many people were doubting their comeback and many left the fandom because of the split. It was a very difficult time for tvxq.

I’d recommend some old 5-member TVXQ vocal jams such as Wrong Number (with choreo!!!), or the straight up vocal eargasms such as Tonight or Bolero or Love in the Ice. The old 5-member group pre-split had harmonies that no other group ever had. Oh and FYI, Chen and Baekhyun of EXO collaborated and sang this song for their audition to SM Entertainment. So yeah, this song is double meaningful because we wouldn’t have EXO as they are now without this song!
