BTS said in an interview that they didnt originally intend to release a song around this time. They normally plan things at least a year in advance but this song wasnt really planned planned you know. But they decided to release dynamite, first bcz they wanted to give comfort, support, and cheers to people all around the world, who are going through this dark times due to global pandemic. They said that there werent any serious or deep meaningsin this song, they just wanted to cosole and cheer up people who are suffering from all kinds of pains due to global pandemic right now. And second, they released this song in full English so that it can reach out to more people, and more people can get energy and spirit in this dark times. Like you said, singing in full English was also a gift for their fans who have been so supportive throughout all these years eventhough most of their songs are sung in Korean, which is just a foreign language to a lot of their fans. This song is very simple. Their intention for the release of this sing is very simple. BTS wanted to cheer us up and give energy, hope and support to people in this dark times. Personally I've been going through some kind of depression lately due to what's going on around the world. I guess it is called Corona blue or corona depression. I've been having nightmares almost everyday. Before I was listening to dynamite, I was so down and depressed. But as soon as I heard this song, my mood was just uplifted all of a sudden. I think that is exactly what BTS wanted from this song. Just making people happy was their intention and I could feel their intention while listening even without watching their interviews.

RM sang as a backing track during a few of the verses because his English is the strongest, it’s a choice they made just to kind of make the sure the words were clear and solid which is why it sounded a bit processed at times, it’s cos there’s a lot of vocal layering.
