Hazel M Well it’s fine if songs sound a little similar. It’s impossible for every song to have a completely unique sound. It’s just a little annoying that they always say that whatever kpop song they are reacting to sounds like another song and some of them came out before the song that it reminds them of. They act as if kpop is only influenced by western music and they just copy it. Also the middle is by zedd.

I get that u r free to do and say whatever u want since its your channel but people who watch r also free to criticise u and comment their thoughts. They really have grown since their debut. Its a great thing to witness because I remember when their were talks about this group being formed and originally it was suppose to have 17 people for four of them left. One of them is a solo artist in Korea, another one is in a group in China and other one I believe is a cast member of South Korea's version of SNL. I really like Seventeen. Even tho there's 13 people I learned their names and faces the fastest out of all kpop groups. Every single one is special. Also they are so talented, making own choreos, lyrics, music. You shoul watch them more. Maybe Very Nice (if you haven't already), Boom Boom, Highlight dance practice with all members (my favourite song), Mansae etc..

I think its fine to compare. There are times when i listen to a "western" song and have a fit because it reminds me of a kpop song and i cant put my finger on it.. So i listen to all my kpop until i find it lol. It comes down to what you know. Im sure they listen to more western music, so when they are listening to something new in kpop, of course they'll compare it. If they had more knowledge and/or listened to kpop extensively I'm sure they would do the reverse.

It happens to me all the time with music from all languages. English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, etc. If it reminds me of something else I can't get it out of my head until I figure it out.

Just note that comparing kpop artist music to western music is a big NO because stolen music from kpop artist have been done before mainly because the person who stole the song thought it was ok because no one in their audience will never find cause they don't listen that music so just how western artist copy each other's music they also copy many kpop, jpop and eastern artist music because the original might never make it big because of the language and the people or even the music might be fantastic but the company is too poor and unknown to protect and promote their artist

actually the song was sued by the people who wrote The Chainsmokers & Coldplay - Something Just Like This and won. seventeen are famous for their plagarism and they should stop doing it when they blantantly copy famous western song, E.G from the chainsmokers to Drake.

While we do love your reactions and all, I think some people would really appreciate it if you guys didn't "compare" other songs and start singing them in the middle of listening and watching these reactions. I do say "compare" *really loosely* though because I totally get that some songs just so happen to remind you of others you've heard of and all, and there's nothing wrong with that at all. I just think people would find it a lot more respectful if you just focused on the actual song your reacting to is all, as although you have no ill intentions, some people could find it really rude and disrespectful to just bring up and start singing another song in the middle of a reaction. Yes there are thirteen people in a group called seventeen. The reason behind that is because they have three different little groups right: hip hop , vocal, and performance. But they still come together as one. So it’s 13+3+1=17. Thirteen members + Three sub-groups + One Whole Group = Seventeen.
