At which point do you need a permit to fish the Tay? Good to see you out again.

You need a permit to fish all of riverside Dundee from airport to Tay road bridge then from Broughty ferry to Monifieth. On the Fife side covers between rail and road bridge and from Tayport to Tentsmuir forest. Thank you it's good to be back out just wish the weather was better. The permit is only for trout and salmon no permit needed for any other fish.

Do people or you eat dabs or flounders? Or are they not really for eating.

Hi David, yes people do eat dabs and flounder. I have never ate a dab yet but i have and do eat flounder if they are big enough. Dabs are meant to be a great tasting fish just a pity they don't grow very big.
