Thematic exploration in Bahk’s work revolves around the natural cycle of life and humanity’s relationship with nature. His Aggregation series, resembling various household structures, challenges viewers to reconsider their connection to the natural world. By suspending charcoal pieces with nylon filaments, Bahk activates space, fostering a dialogue between the environment and the artwork.
Bahk is an internationally acclaimed artist, boasting numerous prestigious accolades, including the renowned Kim Chong Yung Sculpture Award. 우와... 정말 너무 좋아하고 존경하는 박선기 작가님! 작가님 작품을 처음 대면했을 때, 그 자리에서 한참을 넋놓고 봤었던 기억입니다. 나 자신을 사랑하며, 끝까지 작업하는 사람이 되어야겠다고 다시 다짐해 봅니다

처음 작품을 대면하면 그 감동에 한 동안 자리에서 감상하게 되고, 작가님을 인터뷰 하면서 그 노력과 간절함에 현재의 나를 다시 돌아보게 되네요.

My heart remains in Korea. It was pure, then. I was weak... Willing to see, to meet, to join ! Even it was forbidden. Sometimes, my glimpses caught a korean eye, a korean heart. I'm sure of it. I remember.❤
