They have to show a profit for a single quarter before R2. If they can't make a profit on R1 after burning 19 billion thus far then what makes you think they can turn a profit on r2?

Rivian is a strong brand but the elephant in the room is its 2 years away and by that time its still has to compete with models X & Y. At the very least Tesla will dilute the SUV market. Even if all goes well, I honestly cannot believe that rivian can bring above 10% margin.
