🎯 Key points for quick navigation: 🎙️ The podcast discusses the evolving role and impact of AI on society. 🤖 The main theme is whether people would live under an AI-governed society. 🗳️ An AI commune would replace all government roles with AI, from mayor to city planners. 📖 The idea is inspired by the book "Scythe," where society is governed by a benevolent AI. 💼 AI government would eliminate corruption and ensure equal treatment in the judicial system. 🌍 AI could mediate conflicts, optimize resource distribution, and enhance mental health care. 🚀 Concerns include ethical issues, dependence on AI, and the need for human oversight. 🔧 The AI would need strict ethical guidelines and transparency to prevent abuse of power. 🌐 Transparency and accountability are crucial for AI governance to maintain public trust. 🚫 AI is not developing overlords to rule humanity; current AI is focused on enhancing human capabilities. 📚 AI development is aimed at solving specific problems, not autonomous decision-making. 🏭 By 2030, AI could replace 300 million jobs, especially in the US and Europe, while creating new ones. 🧹 Autonomous robots, like floor cleaning bots, are already replacing human jobs in various sectors. 💼 The potential for AI to run entire corporations autonomously is discussed but remains speculative. 🛡️ Concerns about AI include over-dependence, ethical issues, and ensuring strict guidelines to prevent abuse. 🦮 In China, AI-driven robots are being developed as seeing-eye assistants, potentially surpassing traditional guide dogs. I feel like electric cars are great for local trips like commute to work, grocery store, etc and you recharge at home but the electrical infrastructure for being able to use them reliably for trips that require recharging at a station is just not in place. I want an electric vehicle but it will not be replacing my gas vehicle for long trips.

There have been national gas shortages several decades ago where people could wait for an hour plus, and sometimes the stations would run out of gas entirely, but in the past few years, there have been a number of regional gas shortages which have caused very long lines. At my local Costco, the wait for gas can often be 20-30 minutes during peak times.

Where is this supercharger station?😮 are there any other supercharger stations like this? i’ll try to avoid the chaotic situation like this. In my country Taiwan, we have different chaotic charging scenarios other than this, some Tesla owners in Taiwan park in charging lot, but not in charging. Some drivers complained about parking lot is too small, and sometime they argued that they scratched other cars while opening the car door. One of the incidents I saw recently, a passenger tried to protect another Tesla car while the Tesla owner opened their door, then another Tesla driver drove away without noticing it while her hand leaned on another Tesla car door. Her hand was immediately suppressed by the car, and she screamed out loud, and severely painful. Hopefully someday I will see these unpleasant situations much less. But I know Tesla owners can see how many Tesla cars occupied in the supercharging station before they proceeded to that station. Why was this situation allowed for happening?🤔

My 2017 MS has 8% degradation. How much for a brand new battery, installed?
@anmarams3 күн бұрын
You might still have the battery warranty still active, if not, then you talking about $20K for a battery replacement. But maybe Gruber here is able to refurbish it for you for less $. I have 2016 MS and still has only ~15% degradation and 3 months left for the battery warranty.
@migmigjohnson93513 күн бұрын
@@anmarams Yeah I got a year warranty left but if I take my 7 year old 8% degradation battery to Tesla they’ll laugh at me. I think Gruber will laugh at me too.

@migmigjohnson9351 your battery is still fine. Why would you need to replace it?
@edekoka62674 күн бұрын
These batteries should be repaired in a separate room because if they catch fire, the workshop is enough.
