Great suggestions. I always wear loose-fitting cargo shorts, with multiple zippered and buttoned pockets. I also carry several zip lock bags for my phone and wallet on wet rides. I also get a retail bag for our group to dump their pockets in to, so that only one of us needs to go to the lockers.

Great tip. Think I'll get one of these and put all my pocket things in it. That way when I go through security I don't have to empty each pocket and rearrange things after I get through the metal detector. Just throw the bum bag in the basket and walk on through. Thanks!

You are absolutely right! The Harry Potter rides have the WORST locker areas! I think it's also annoying that the free lockers, and even sometimes the paid lockers are too small to hold any of your souvenirs. What are you meant to do if you bought something cool but you can't store it in a locker and now you can't go on any rides? Oh well.

I believe u can have the store hold them till the end of the day. Actually it's delivered somewhere in the park so u pick it up when u leave. If you're staying on the resort it can be delivered to your hotel.

I wouldn't recommend wearing glasses on the hulk. Watched a pair of sunglasses fly out and smash onto the roof of one of the kiosks. Also, I've seen a lanyard fly out and land in a tree. If you're riding hulk, make sure you are prepared.

There are areas with free water cup fill up or you can buy a fruit cup and use that for water later. They were like $5. And very good!

Staying on property at universal really has it perks! If you go to the Universal website they have everything you will need to book a full trip from hotels, tickets, etc. Have fun!

We got 4 virtual lines in 3 days a few weeks ago. Every virtual release time we had four people trying right at top of the hour (2 and 4P?). Usually just one in four of us got lucky.

They release the virtual lines for Hagrids at the opening of the park, 11 AM, and 2 PM. You should start trying to get the virtual line on the Universal app around 10-15 minutes prior to those times.

There are a few charging stations that you can pay for but they are few and far between. The one I know of is next to guest services in City Walk. As for charging cords and chargers, you wouldn't be able to bring those on the rides in question anyways as they really don't want you to bring anything for fear of the items flying out of your pockets.

This is a question about metal detectors..My mom has a pacmaker..and can't go through them..will they accommodate her with that..she has a card from her doctor saying she can't go in them it will set it off. It would help being her and I are coming the 1st week of May

There's warning signs for anyone with heart conditions, pacemakers, pregnant, back problems, etc. on the rides. If she's still trying to ride, I would ask the staff if they can accommodate her with the metal detector.

Just know there are metal detectors before you enter the park. You'll need to talk to one of the security members in front. As for the rides themselves, talk to the staff and I'm sure they'll accommodate as long as she's ok to actually ride the rides.

Question about the Fanny/bag situation, I know you’ve said on most those rides a Fanny is good to go. Is the cross body bag classified as a Fanny for those rides as well ? I can tell you right now, no. Cross body bags or over the shoulder bags will have to go in lockers. Even fanny packs that are really big or bulky wont' work either if they get in the way of the ride lapbar.

You have to go through a metal detector for The Incredible Hulk and Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket, so you definitely have to either put your phone in a locker or give it to a friend/family member who is not riding.
