I did the same even for Carnatic music Oh my god. My teacher took it a step forward and asked me to sing every swar separately with the HA sound. Meaning take a breath for EVERY SWAR. End of one Hour I felt like I did ab exercises😂 But it opened up my voice so much that I went singing from A to G in a few month. And I discovered that I was singing A because I was singing from throat. But my inner voice is G on a tanpura. Earlier I struggled very hard and lost my voice if I sang the lower notes in G. But this practise is actually kamaaaal. ❤

​@@AanviMishra4-Ashe means first practice haaaaa for some weeks or months then practice with Aaaaaa,but practice with your stomach not from throat,means when you inhale ,first full the stomach with inhalation then practice haaaaa,and you can do with every other swar hoooooo,heeeeeee means you can practice each and every swar with hakar but one by one ,first practice hakar with only one swar that is Aaaaa

she is saying that you must make a sound by stomach not by throat or nose . to make sound from stomach you can initially start it by practicing ' haa ' then after a month , you can remove h from haa
