What a crazy reroute. Seems like something that would be theoretical from a railfan community but seeing it happen for probably what will be the only few times the A will go up 2nd Ave is pretty amazing.

@@transitexpert Yeah, definitely will be quite rare especially with all the other places the A train can be reroute to if it is ever needed due to a disruption. Maybe the announcements will work next weekend for some nice footage for historical purposes.

Fun Fact: When the (A) Train goes to 96th Street. The (Q) shared the R211A Base Order from the (A) Train and the Operator switches to the (Q) line and ran the whole line in service. If I see that, I will be like, what is that operator doing? This is rare.

No, they aren't running. R211s are running on the (A) (C) (Rockaway Shuttle) and (SIR). However, it is unlikely that the (Q) will have R211 models. They will have R68/A's or R160s displaced from the (B) and (D).
