Paint your car at home PART 6 (Cut and buff)

Bling bling! its finally the end of my multi part series on painting your car at home on a budget! Admittedly, inflation got us and this paint job cost closer to the $1000 mark than it did the anticipated $600 mark. But that's okay! Still loads cheaper than what we would have to pay for this kind of paint job at the paint shop. In this video, I did a TON of learning. Love the grabber blue! I think you are right that it’s a color that’s forgiving when blended. I have had 3 cars with metallic paint that didn’t blend well.

Yeah I got lucky for sure. I thought the color would be easy to work with and it really has been. I think it was a good choice. I’m no painter, but this is going to work out great.

Great little run remover is a tungsten square blade,, its about the size of a a Scrabble square but totally made of tungsten,, you can shave the runs out clean & saves time because you only hit the run & not the adjacent area as well,,& it never gets blunt,,, but your repair turned out perfect. Love the colour... but it needs some satin black black-outs...Ohh, you're gonna do that..😂😂 See how i make notes as I'm watching,, LOL Such a satisfying colour... It looks wringing wet & deep.. awesome used to keep a spray bottle of water & occasionally spray the panel to keep the pad from getting too warm & burning thru..it does cause a lot of fling off & your shop gets spattered with compound but the finish is glassy. Beautiful job tho mate... you gotta be happy with that..🤙🏽🤙🏽
