The London Paddington-Swansea line is not fully electrified so the description of some trains must be a mistake as they have pantographs..

Soul A They are hybrid trains after Reading the pantograph drops and the Diesel engine takes it the rest of the way.

In reply to Daniel Martin, The 802’s start running middle of this month to Devon and Cornwall, and gradually take over all the services , be diesel power west of Newbury, so high diesel mileage and so far only electric running is London-Didcot Parkway, and next year to Cardiff, possibly later on to Bristol etc,
