A brief explanation of this MV: Mingi is the new kid and the other members are trying to recruit/intimidate him to their clubs lol (Hongjoong/Seonghwa = calligraphy club, San/Woo = softball, Yunho/Jongho - bike ‘gang’ lol). Yeosang represents peace, which is why he’s seen with all the birds and is shown eating bread, he is a ‘bird’ (symbol of peace) himself. It’s actually based on a Korean film with a cult following ‘Volcano High’. The Real is essentially a song about being confident and true to yourself, while continuing to be kind and humble to all. Which is what ATEEZ is all about tbh.

As someone else pointed out - San, Seonghwa, Yunho, and Jongho are all saying the same line, just in different dialects. San and Seonghwa are both from the southwest, Yunho is from the southeast, and Jongho is the 'standard' Seoul dialect. Wooyoung's line is also in dialect. Also: 'I saw San and I stopped breathing for a second.' The song: 멋 is a Korean word without a direct English equivalent--real,style, and cool are attempts to catch the meaning, but it has an underlying idea of honor, so it's about how what's really cool is to be humble and kind. The video: Appears to be based on Volcano High, a popular movie in 2001 about a transfer student with special powers who ends up at a school with warring factions who are trying to find a book of power. Ateez's twist--The book they find when they work together is essentially a book of morality, a book about 멋. (If you want more details watch Form of Therapy's reaction). Thanks for the reaction!

RJ, you missed commenting on San's blooper of running into the door that didn't open on queue for him. I was like, "wait... wait...". He looks outfreakingstanding in this video in general, but when he turned the corner in his belted jacket, I was like, "a bias is...?" again, as I so often do. This video's "why bias?" killers for me were Seonghwa with his mop/brush as a weapon, in a way that's so completely how you can imagine him being, haughty and beautiful and austere. San with his bat being gorgeously lawful. Hongjoong's class writing "modesty". Mullet Mingi (have we seen bad mullets on this group?!) reading about "morality" and it protecting him from bullies. And Yunho's little tongue thing before slaying the dance? Yep, this one had it all. Good to see your reaction to it!

Well the book that saved mingi from that punch was about "morality" (it was written on it), and the bread was kinda reenactment of a cliche (based on what hongjoong said)

This comeback honestly made me lose my mind lmaooo I didn’t watch kingdom so I didn’t know that this song was already out but I’m super glad they have it as their title track now! It truly feels like a triumph, a fitting end for this journey. Btw, Jognho breaking the apple is of course a big inside joke but Yeosang and the bread has to do with the storyline. He’s seen with lots of doves (which stand for peace) and “eats” the bread himself, showing how he’s like them. Free. They did make it funny but that means that he’s free from Halateez.

hi :) I've been doing a marathon on your channel because your reactions are so nice! glad I found you two days ago :) so about the song and how it was handled at the concert: I loved the way they played a majority of their mvs prior the concert as a countdown but didn't play the real until the very last few minutes before concert started. so they basically took the real mv as an opening or as a signal that the concert is about to start, which was amazing and extremely exciting! the song itself they performed not as the last one but it was one of the last ones
