It's a real look at Mirinda's training, but "Got Chocolate Milk" is also a sponsor of hers. So it's also a marketing piece for them.

In my opinion,bananas and coconut water can be a cheap and quick way to replenish electrolytes,fluids and energy during long runs and also to promote recovery.Nice video.

The chocolate milk unfortunately ruined what was otherwise a great 4 part series!

I have to agree. I really enjoyed this but whenever the chocolate milk came up it felt like she got pulled out of her passionate explanation of whatever she was talking about to sell herself to chocolate milk which she doesn`t actually believe in.

People like Mirinda and myself make a living from branding agreements and licensing, but I get that sometimes it can be so "in your face" that people are steered away from wanting to even watch or support such promotional vids. I think that videos like this, if the commentator asked Mirinda, "What's the best fuel for recovery?" and Mirinda replied, "Chocolate milk because A, B and C", then that would make me go to the store immediately to try chocolate milk and trust in her judgement for my recovery. Likely, the editors and producers of this video were obliged, rather, paid, by the advertising company of Build by Chocolate Milk, to have to incorporate the brands messaging X amount of times in the video as well as a certain amount of verbiage. This amount of constant reminders of the brand and promotion makes me not want to even try chocolate milk to aid in my recovery, simply knowing how much of a promotional scheme it is, based on the amount of times mentioned and logo verbiage seen, which in turn, deterred from the inspiration and educational that the video boasts. I sometimes wished that these companies would see the value in authenticity, and that one strong mention is more than enough to get the point across to its viewers. Hopefully one day companies will catch on. It's obvious that Mirinda excels in her sport, and has the ultimate lean body to prove it... so I'd trust her judgement based off just one mention of a recovery drink and would be racing to the stores to purchase. Again, too many mentions in one video makes me feel like I'm purchasing from a company, rather than an individual.

lol while a lot of athletes do use chocolate milk as a recovery option sometimes the constant mention and blatant advertising of it was over the top and took away from what should had been a good watch. Know she is sponsored by Got Chocolate Milk (I think) so I'd take it that they pretty much paid for this entire series so they made sure their branding was all over it. I hate being forcefully fed branding crap

Balázs Korcsog what actually helps is training and a consistent healthy diet. being a vegan or a vegetarian does not make you a superior athlete nor does it make you healthy. A vegan can still consume many unhealthy foods.

andy pye you want to drink chocolate milk after a workout for recovery. It has a higher fat, carb, and protein content than regular milk. The things your body needs after an intense workout. Especially after an endurance workout.

No. Drink coconut or almond milk. Why drink animal milk from cows blasted with antibiotics and feed trash. No other species drinks milk beyond youth.
@edgyguy5553
@edgyguy5553 8 жыл бұрын
+TwoSet No other species drinks coconut or almond milk beyond ... well, ever. Or those yummy vanilla coconut/almond milk blends. Or coffee. Veganism's cool, but can we use rational arguments? This appeal to nature is plain meaningless. Some people have lactose persistence because cow's milk was a survival advantage thousands of years ago in the cold climes of Europe. It was a great way to convert the energy of grass into a food source. A lot of people are lactose intolerant and can't digest cow's milk and shouldn't drink it. You see, humans, like all species have evolutionary adaptions that help them out. So you could also say "no other species knowingly/purposefully gives ups an evolutionary adaption that they have". Just as no other species makes ethical or moral choices, that we know of. Go vegan for sure. But let's keep odd concepts of evolution out of it.
