The Mom is Sara Rowell, who could easily win the Award for Most Annoying Character of 2025! You need to give the actress, Betty Gilpin, as she is playing Most Annoying Woman in the West up to 11. The show is very much putting on display how.....dark...the west was, not the 'happy west' too often seen. The show was shot in New Mexico.

Yeah, this confused me. When did they do Primeval, and wasn't the US version called "Primeval: New World"?

This is one of the things that people hate SO MUCH about shows or movies that take place historically. They just HAVE to inject "STRONG AND INDEPENDENT WOMEN" into it. That scene where Sara walks down and ends up causing that 5 on 1 fight that Issac had to win thanks to her, would NEVER have happened in those times. Women and children knew to keep their heads down and their damn mouths shut in dangerous situations, because they knew their men would be the ones paying the price. Not that she cared about Issac, but at the very least, she needed him, to survive. It's like that 2010 "Robin Hood" movie with Russell Crowe as Robin Hood and Cate Blanchett as Maid Marion. Cate Blanchett's Marion rides into a F*CKING BATTLE ON A HORSE, in the movie, because OF COURSE women in the 13th Century did things like that.
