Going to US for studies is good if you are going for Masters or Ph D and you get financial assistance. If Financial Assistance is not good but you can pay the complete expense at your own . For Bachelor's degree you have to pay for 4 years. Please never think that you will be able to pay all your expenses by part time jobs. On student Visa, you can do only university approved jobs for some hours, which can pay a small part of expenses. Never think of doing lowly jobs with Indian shops, gas station or restaurants illegally. You mzy land into serious trouble.

Fortunately this boy got financial support while studying. His college is givi g that opportunity. But it is not the case everywhere. All colleges don't have the system. My son also went to USA for his MS in Aug 21, same time when this boy went. But my son's college offered no opportunities for earn-and-learn. Also, neither did he get an internship nor a job. There were job fairs, but college did not guarantee any placement, and many students are still jobless. My son hasn't got a job even after 9 months of passing out. Further, living costs can vary a lot, depending on where one stays. My son was in Redmond (Washington state). His rent was USD 500-600. He had 5 house-mates.

sorry whatever he told that's his personal experience. But as per my personal experience 2021 MS studies CS abd DS many more students till jobless whoever got selected and working two to three months and rejected also. Specially freshers be careful. Now they are crying bz there visa finish this October. And whoever not got job there study visa vl finish upto March. All only luck basis. Without job students and parents also very much depressed and frustrated bz there study loan and interest amount goings-on. There daily needs maintenance rent also problem. Students visa you can't work there. If you working that's ghere kanoon. So whoever going pls becareful and your parents pocket full then no worries. He his telling you can work in campass but you should submit your assignments also as per time. And you should cook your own food and house hold items. If you finished your MS or studies upto job you vl not get medical insurance. In between any health issues. It's depend upon college.

Indian students should be ready for high tuition, a difficult education system which penalizes plagiarism and even copying home works severely, crime, low possibility of jobs and loneliness and boredom. Note that jobs continue to be outsourced to India and other data science/IT type of jobs are being attacked by AI. One should only come to US after a lot of thought and if one can get financial aid or is prepared to study, complete his or her degree and go back to India.
