This is awesome! I had the joy of seeing Maceo Parker play at the Fillmore West back in 2002 or so. It was one of the best concerts I ever attended. The entire band was fire and the energy was incredible. After playing a 2+ hour set, they finally left the stage and people in the audience would simply not leave. After what felt like forever, the band returned and played a 45 minute encore. It was incredible, I've never experienced anything like it before or since.

Maceo may be the most musical human I've ever experienced. ... funky? Absolutely. But the man oozes an unending stream of grooves, hooks, flows, and ties everything anyone else is playing together into a nearly perfect package that screams so much more than funk (but thank God it's funky nonetheless).
