Great video as always Jason. Nice to see a different world of locks than I normally see. Very cool - thanks for doing this 😊🙏

Hi Jason. Thanks for taking the time to do this video. Very edymicational. Yes it makes sense to have " the stop" on the inside on a bathroom door. Because of sods law, you'll be alone in the house and the handle will come off while you are in the bathroom on the one occasion you don't have your mobile phone with you. Is that the reason some people have a fixed line phone in their bathroom? Thanks again Jason for taking the time to do these very instructive videos.

Always interesting to see the stuff common in other areas. Baldwin isn’t common in my area. If I come across Baldwin it’s most likely a fancy handleset on a really nice house or the ole’ Baldwin Lock email scam. Locks and Pulls hardware outlets are about the only place that sells Baldwin in my area and even those would be most likely using the Smartkey tech. About the only non sc1/ kw1 keyway I do see often enough is the old “National” Lock locking hardware particularly the 441D’s (aka Amerock). And I appreciate the vid you did on those a few years back. Thanks for sharing!

My memory was probably rewriting history... I thought Images had pre-assembled knob/escutcheons, similar to Emtek ? Perhaps that was only on keyed functions. Great videos for non-beginners to review what they forgot!

Good video. Not common here but nice to know!

Lol, no doubt I'd see the white plastic washer and try and cram it in there and not realise it's just for getting spacing right. Great tip.

I love my Husky 6n1 that somebody threw in a box of goodies! 🤔 This is great info! When I first started i was like a dog trying to get peanut butter off his tongue trying to figure out how to take a simple passage knob apart. I can't believe how much I over thought a Kwikset passage Lol!

One of the very few Husky tools that is higher up on the list! Every other brand is just so much heavier in the back for finger spinning purposes! :)

Great video and truly helps .. Haven't worked on a Baldwin yet but , I know that there are some out there in my area .. Was wondering tho. , since I don't have a Baldwin wrench can you use a adjustable spanner wrench to take the rosette retaining nut off instead of a screw driver ?? I think the " stops " on the inside is a good idea .. Safer for the customer ... Thanks again...
@selock2 жыл бұрын
You could use anything like that really for sure as long as the pins were small enough. I think most “regular” spanner wrenches though are gonna have too big a tip. Another option would be a pair of snap ring pliers

Bondus makes a nice set of ball end hex wrench’s that work well with these. Emhart makes a nice 28degree latch.

Baldwin is not to common here. I have at least 3 of the husky 6 in 1 screwdrivers. They just feel good in my hand. Thanks Jason!

Great videos! I'm I've been locksmithing for 3 years and am now starting my own business in Louisville, KY. How do you find residential jobs? Most of the property management companies here do their "locksmithing" in-house by a handyman. How do you get business? Thanks
