Yes they were making snow globes. The 'sponge' asmr thing was a block of floral foam. It absorbs water and is used as a base for flower arrangements. 👍💜

Re: ASMR. The green sponge is what florists use to do stick flowers to make their arrangements, and it absorbs water so that the flowers last long. And I think they were meant to make least noise as possible, as you see the noise meter attached to the mic.

The green foam block is floral foam. You soak it in water and stick cut flowers into them to make an arrangement. They're firm enough to hold flowers together and keep them fresh at the same time.

The water and sponge thing is actually part of Run BTS. The goal is to be as quiet as possible. The 🎤 actually is to be really close to whatever it is your dealing with and see how loud it is.

The green sponge thing is called oasis and it's used to make arrangement with living flowers. you stick the flowers into the sponge and keep it moist . There is also a grey rougher sponge that is for arrangement of dried flowers. (as if you were interested of that haha)

2:01 they were making DIY snow globes, 4:03 it's a floral foam used by florists in flower arrangement to keep the flowers fresh you soak it in the water, as for what RM's doing I think the rule of the game was he should not make noise as much as possible there was a device in front of the mic that measures the decibel of the sound(to those who remembered the rules of the game correct me if I remembered it wrong) 💜😊
