For me it looks like the boy and the girl had an adventurous trip, with the boy leading and helping the girl all the time, but in the end, the girl broke their promise (or maybe just the boy's expectation) to go on the same path. I feel hurt watching the ending. The portrayal of child actors is just to make a contrast with the adult crowd? To emphasize that the main character is weak and fragile in the middle of the crowd? Despite that, he came back and help his "friend", I mean, fake friend.

There's some major symbolism here. The child is pulled into a dangerous world full of chaos and corruption, his friends help to guide him through... in the end he escapes, he almost walks away, but then he suddenly changes his mind and returns to the chaos... is it because one of his friends was still trapped inside? Or is it because there was something about that world which he felt drawn to, something else he needed to do?

But I've also noticed in the past that there's a noticeable drop in views when a video doesn't actually show the artist... personally I love this video, but I suppose some people are not interested to watch unless they can enjoy their fave's handsome visuals, which is a little disappointing. Finally, as OP said, there has always been a noticeable difference in popularity between different members. It's sad, but there's not much we can do about it. Namjoon knows his audience, and he knows that a fair amount of people who follow BTS for their sparkly pop hits will never be interested in challenging alternative music like this. But I don't think he cares about that, he decided to release the music he wanted to make anyway. He knows that the people who do get it will appreciate it deeply. Those of us who understand and care about this kind of art will just have to do our best to support him. I also recommend introducing new people to this album if they like alternative music, as I think there's an untapped audience out there who would love it if they knew about it!

After watching this for the nth time, I think Namjoon has 2 type of friends: the ones with who he shares the normal life and the everyday journey the ways everyone does and then the ones with who he shares his darkest days, the everyday running in a place bigger than him and so dark but those friends always help him to go through everything and see the light again BUT even if he always get the chance to live a normal life with normal people away from pressure, he keeps coming back to the other side of his life AND he does this by choice. NOW what I'm thinking is that his dark life is being BTS and that friend who walked with him in the darkness is the other members. I thought about this because of what Jimin said and how the members tried to cheer him up and do what he want because he was the one suffering the most. Please I'm crying bc of my own theory....TT
