I HIGHLY recommend his live concert at Rolling Hall. It's on the official BangtanTV channel. He performed most of the songs from Indigo with several of the featured artists present. Great show, I think you'd enjoy it a lot.

3:21 I don't know if anyone ever answered this, but Cheonggyecheon is the same of a stream that runs through downtown Seoul. Some say it doesn't have a smell, but many- including RM here, say that is does have an odor. It's sourced from a natural spring but it was extremely polluted for a while. It was actually covered over with concrete and make into a highway for a while, but in 2003 they uncovered it and cleaned it up as part of an urban renewal protect. It's a popular area to walk and bike by, lights up at night- it's really pretty.

He often goes live to discuss the inspiration and meaning behind his songs... he also recommends books he reads, songs he likes and artworks he admires. He loves spending time in nature, reading and visiting museums. If you think it is cool that he wrote a song in a museum... he also wrote a song outside the hospital after surgery. It's called Singularity and is performed by V (one of his group members)... it is one of my ultimate favourite songs... a Neo Soul classic. He is fluent in English and Japanese... he taught himself English by watching the TV show Friends. Have a great day. I don't think you know what a big deal it is for Erykah Badu to be on the song "Yun" with RM. She's the queen of neo soul. A legend in her field and highly respected. She's those highly regarded artists that don't care about trends and popularity. She won't jump on a song with just anyone. For her to know right away who RM was when he reached out to her and agree to do the song with him, and do it the way he wrote it without altering it speaks volumes. RM is a true artist and has been honing his craft for years. Hoping the world will finally see that about him and not peg him as a random member from a poppy boy band. His album Right Place Wrong Person is a masterpiece and has received critical acclaim. Hope he gets a Grammy nomination for it.

I love when the General Public find out that BTS are actual Artist that actually take the craft seriously and sing/write about actual substance rather than what’s trending. Not to say they don’t do some trendy songs but they do it better than most!

Yeah even the "trendy songs" are never half arsed, always well researched, respectful of the culture they're tapping in, looking for meaning, and even when the lyrics don't have a deeper meaning, the sincerity behind the performance and the feeling they are portraying, the honest passion for music are addictive enough to make the song genuine.

RM really has a way with crafting music. If you're interested in longer-format stuff, he actually did a video where he speaks about his Indigo album. It's called "Indigo Album Magazine Film' and it's available on KZbin: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooPcaYKPnbGCY6Msi=jPqjwCAKd73YorLg It's similar to the vibe he had here in the tiny desk, minus him performing. Him, the people he collaborated with and even the people who produced for him all spoke about the album and the songs in track order. You get a lot of insight into him as a person/artist as well as how other fellow creatives perceive him after working with him. One of the tracks features Tablo, the lead rapper in one of the groups that inspired RM to start rapping. They're friends now but it was a really cool full circle moment that his inspiration was now on a song from his debut album. The song they did together is called 'All Day' which is really good. Anyways if you even listen to the whole Indigo album, the film is a great followup video to check out if you have the time.
