You are right !!...the music sounds like a live session recording...and the instrumentalism is mind boggling!....RM complemented the instruments but never overtake it or relegate it to the background. Its like he invited the best musicians and producers and had an equal say in everything thats going on. But at the end of the we all know...the musicians and producers know..that they are intrepreting Namjoon's brain into sight and sound....and what a incredible real outcome....album of the decade!!!

Ohhh Landon I just new that out of all tractors you would GET it, I feel like this album went above a lot of peoples head, it it just a culmination of what makes joon and BTS so different and great, every song it’s just RAW and unpolished, just feeling and realness, and I’m loving listening with you and getting your insight ❤

Big Hit described this album as “alternative” and I have no experience with that genre, so I didn’t really know what to expect, except that it probably wouldn’t be like “Indigo” or like anything I was used to. On my first listen to the entire album, I was scratching my head a bit: “Wow, there’s a LOT of profanity on this album!” “Wow, this album isn’t for the kiddies!” “Wow, this is really different and I don’t know how I feel about it!” On the second listen (now that any “shocks and surprises” has worn off) I started to appreciate the music, the groove, the vibes and the flow. By the 3rd listen I really started to LOVE so many of the tracks! “Groin” might be my favorite and that surprised me! “Around The World In A Day” put me back into a Sly and the Family Stone kind of groove! In other words, I wasn’t ready for this trip inside Joonie’s brain, and it took me a couple of listens to begin to appreciate this kind of avant garde musical experience he is serving. I can’t say I totally understand every reference but I feel like this is another masterful no-skip album from our prolific, poetic President RM!

this album is so refreshing. I see influences of tyler the creator, jpeg mafia, kendrick lamar, andre 3000 and so much more. it’s so enjoyable and probably my favorite bts solo project so far
