(Source : KaZura⚫) : "He did THIS song with Park Jiyoon. There's no way this is a coincidence. Park Jiyoon had been in the industry since she was 12, she then, at 18, released her legendary song "Coming Of Age Ceremony". The song was about her throwing away her innocence/losing her virginity, but then regretting it. Everything about the song was sensual. The choreography, the lyrics, the outfits, her voice... She received very negative attention, was made the object of disgusting rumors, had a huge fight with her very religious parents while JYP, her agency, didn't do enough to protect her. Her image was forever attached to that song no matter what she did. Now this song is about loving yourself and stopping to look at your past because you did everything you could back then". A beautiful song with a beautiful message.

I don't think Park Jiyoon's song was about what this text says. It was about becoming legally adult and convincing an older guy who knew her since she was a child that she wasn't one anymore. There is no reply to that "call" on the song, so we can't know if there was any advance from the guy, or any regret afterwards, it just hints at her wanting it as a possibility (and that was part of the controversy, too)

RM hints at it in this interview, but you're joining ARMY at an interesting time, TribeLoui. This is what they have been calling Chapter 2 of BTS. Last year, on June 13 a video dropped. June 13 is their anniversary, we've always traditionally had "Festa" annually, a celebration of their anniversary and every June 13 a video of them sitting together and talking drops...except this time, they spoke about needing to take a short break. That they were so confused and hurting and debating and they decided that they are going to take a short pause from group activities and focus on solo projects for the time being. It was a very dramatic time, admittedly. Stocks were falling, media outlets were publishing that BTS were going on hiatus the next day,,,we had members coming online to say that they never said they were breaking up, don't misconstrue them, that kind of thing. And then, BTS hold their "last for the time being" concert in Busan, a technically free concert! It was amazing. Adding more context, the South Korean government has been teasing BTS military exemption for years, playing cat and mouse, just overall being annoying. A lot of political drama again (here you see RM say that he was confused as to whether he was a diplomat or what,,,, we all got the feeling that BTS had grown to something almost beyond their reach, which was what made them feel so pressured. They didn't want the political drama. They were feeling burnt out and lacking creative direction, it seems) So there was news that a final decision regarding BTS military exemption would fall that week. Technically, the concert was held as part of a bid for Busan to rep a "World Expo" and so government officials were in the audience, there were rumors that they would make their decision based on the results of the concert or whatever. Which was stupid, the Busan government wasn't prepared, didn't prepare despite several warnings that BTS would more than sellout, especially with them making tickets free too. So then BTS do the unexpected (tho perhaps not surprising) -- they jump the gun; the day after the concert, an official notice is first sent to Weverse, to ARMYs before the media, that BTS would be going to the military one by one, starting with Jin and that they plan to reconvene in 2025. They were going in on their own terms, almost, taking back the reigns of their destiny, it felt As time has shown, the "break" hasn't been much of a "break".. they've been pushing out music, pedal to the metal...they all clearly still love each other,,and they seem to take that 2025 date very seriously. And speaking of RM, he seems to have regained that mojo, maybe! Not that he lost it,,,but he was talking about how he was afraid that music wouldn't bring him the same feelings it did before....but after releasing Indigo, it feels like a fire has been lit under his bum. He keeps threatening us with updates on how he's leaving work at 4 am, how he was super productive today...he went on live 2 days ago, speaking about how he's practically living in his studio. Someone commented in the chat "Don't work too hard" and he responded " 'Don't work too hard?!' "Don't work too hard?!' I don't have the time! I have to, I was intending to go same time as Hobi, but now I've postponed my entry to complete the music I'm working on right now, but I don't have time to rest now" I'm very proud of them. They took a huge risk....traditionally, boy bands don't live long term, but they seem committed to making it work, and they're forging a road-not-taken by allowing themselves to grow separately to grow stronger. It seems like a good time for them. For ARMYs, it's like content×7

theres something beautiful about namjoon asking 2 women who once had peaked in their prime days, who had walked a path no one had and seniors in their own music scene, to be with him to create this beautiful album that is Indigo. and the way the track positioned Erykah in the beginning to sing a hook about persuading listeners to never forget about their humanity, guiding us all into Indigo in a calm but emotionally strong way, and then Jiyoon at the end together with namjoon himself to remind us to also dont look back in your life too much and let go of regrets GAHH INDIGO WILL BE A TIMELESS CLASSIC

A few random, unrelated thoughts. One tiny thing I really loved. When Joon is first talking about Erykah Badu, the translation says he calls her a queen. But that's not the word he uses - he calls her a king, each time. I'm not sure why they translated it differently - we all know very well how mindfully Namjun chooses his words, and I love this choice. 'Change' by RM and Wale is one of my favorite songs. Period. I had such an interesting moment of connection, purely because you included the Indigo film back-to-back with the Pharrell interview. I noticed how often Pharrell talked about channeling others in his writing and production work. And then, did you notice, too? When Pdogg was talking about Lonely & Hectic, he said more than once that he was trying to be RM as he wrote. I just got such a kick out of that similarity of approach. I really think that's cool. And finally, as Docskim has decided to continue with producing, he released an MV for a track named 'Breather' recently under the name Mikscod. I believe he called it Wildflower's sister, and I just wanted to pass it along for you to listen to here - it's absolutely beautiful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoTFf2StndqCZtE You SPOILED us today, man. Pain does not compel you to create, resilience does... Because you take that pain and you make into something that serves you and others. When people listen to that music (or any art made from resilience), it's not the pain that it's contagious, it's the resilience, because people either feel compassion and understanding for the artist, or feel that their own feelings have been validated in some form :) It's like when people say "oh, you wouldn't be who you are today if you didn't have all those horrible experiences". NOPE. You are who you are today because you built your resilience and made sure you could be an amazing person despite the horrible things you went through 💜

This entire voyage between these two instructive and essential videos has been such a joy. Your deep appreciation of what you’re hearing and seeing is a pleasure to watch. Joon is a person of such quality that the calibre of people around him is staggering. Pharrell being a bit of a sympathetic mentor, some very well-established Korean artists as well as new voices and a queen all happy to work with him. Docskim’s story still tears me up, as he wrote one of the most important songs in their entire discography, Outro: Tear, and then to learn he almost gave it all up in an ugly twist of irony, but thank goodness music saved him in the end. And park JiYoon’s own professional story, in addition to her sweet voice, made her the obvious choice for No. 2. I’m really looking forward to the upcoming installments of Join’s focus 💜

As someone who doesn't like cussing, I don't find it weird to not like it. However, I do think cussing has to be used in a correct way and not overused. In most BTS songs when they cuss, I don't have the biggest problem with it because the cussing actually adds to the emotions and the message of the song. However personally artists that cuss every two seconds (especially in music) it feels less genuine, and it actually "disrupts" so to speak the message of the song(s), in my personal opinion. Now I am not someone to really judge them based on cussing in normal everyday lives (or music really), since to the rest of the world it is normal, but I still don't like it. This also isn't me sending hate and anything just my personal preference, but I also have no right to judge people nor am I some who should have a say in how people live their lives. People can make their own choices and I should treat people with kindness despite my personal preferences.

@@AJP.OT7 it’s not weird to not like it, it would be weird to get upset if someone cursed occasionally like Pharrell almost did while listening to BTS music where they also curse. I don’t have a problem with someone not liking cursing (I don’t curse often myself) but I don’t like, for example, some fans attempting to police reactors for their language when BTS also curses. If someone don’t like it, ok but I don’t think it’s right to impose that on others.

As always W reaction and commentary! The amount of times I've watched these 2 vids when they came is crazy! Just dropping knowledge and made me reflect on so many areas of myself

I loved every bit of this reaction. I’m inspired to create art again from this. I’m an artist, painting, sketching mostly fine arts. I learned graphic design but my heart wasn’t in it as much. I haven’t painted in 4 years. Life definitely took over and I’ve been creatively blocked and unmotivated, but still inspired by my surroundings to have creative ideas of what to do next. I was grateful to still have that. This def makes me want to unpack my art supplies my next off day. Thank yu for the chill vibes ✌🏾💜💜💜

I've heard about you on Twitter :) and I'm really glad you listened to this album "magazine" documentary. It speaks a lot about how much you've come to appreciate Joon as a human and an artist who inspires people. I love that you've been so open-minded about BTS as a whole and that you've come to love Namjoon and his music!

Fun fact for you… Tae wore this same fit as Pharrell for a photoshoot before this interview minus the boots. Kim Namjun is definitely one of the greatest for me. ✌️💜

Have you seen the small concert he gave for only 200 people? I can only find a reaction to the Behind the scenes, or did I missed it? The people were so close they could touch him. It was the best! He did 8 songs from the album, Sexy Nukim and Persona. It's on the Bangtantv chanel and it's called RM live at the Rolling Hall in Seoul. He also made a vlog when he took a trip to Switzerland to go to an Art fair to get inspiration. There's also RM, All Day (2 parts), which follows RM during a regular day. It's all on the channel under the tab RM Indigo. You should react to it! Please... 🙏

I'm excited to see you continuing your RM journey. Have you listened to his BTS solo songs yet? Intro: Persona is a good one! Also the live performance of Indigo that he did was amazing as well. Youjeen absolutely DESTROYS Wildflower.

The thing w ARMY is that the age demo is spans 1-80+ and in Asian culture cursing is not accepted like it is in the West - so we follow the members lead. When they came back from COVID - at SOFI stadium RM let’s us know that it is now OK but in front of ARMY it feels more like poetic emphasis 💜

People had a few snide comments about Pharrell keeping his sunglasses on. Stupid really. Every bit of body language and every word he said showed his interest and respect towards NamJoon.

Tablo is someone you should check out if you have the time. His life story was almost unbelievable looking how much he endured. But geniuses that choose kindness will find their way. Him, suga, jhope, rm, they are those kind of people. Geniuses that chose kindness. Their musics talk, whisper, and scream. Life-changing.

I love your exploration of BTS and each member as an individual artist. It’s a real good mix of content. It’s a newer, fresher deeper insight as compared to other reactors. A lot of the content I have seen but every now and then there’s something new I’ve not seen thrown in the mix. Keep up the good work..and chaos…it’s all good energy 💜

Hey Tribe Loui I would actually really enjoy hearing your notes. I think it was Joon himself that said that music or art becomes something else to the consumer. It grows and takes on new meanings depending on the person enjoying it!

You should watch the day in the life of RM pt1 and 2! It’s like a vlog style where we follow RM around for a day, plus at the end he talks with John Eun about Indigo. They have a really nice friendship and have a lot to say about music and music production, it’s fascinating.
