Very good insight. Super video. Your surgery and dissection of a RM William has changed the perception that i long held about them. Am now thinking they are well made, but definetly not the quality you'd get from Trickers or Cheaney. Bee-yu-ti-full.

Lovely work they look great. The Craftsman name refers to the shape of the boot slightly squared chiseled toe. (Round toe is called the turnout) the signature is rm’s top and most expensive model and does come with that red leather sole.

Had a pair of RM Williams year's ago, top quality, bought another pair a couple of years ago, the drop off in quality was alarming, had a run in with RM Williams, I'll never buy them again, replaced with Ian Harold which are superb, better quality, despite wearing them quite a lot minimal wear, great patina forming, love them.

Great pair of boots I had a pair years ago and wore them to death Had repair after repair Finally all elastic had gone Leather uppers cracked A couple of bad repairs had mashed the welts up Although they always polished up good They had to go Never found another pair as good looking to be fair Then I found Trickers 🤗

Yes when they get stitched over a few times it damages the welt, that’s why we remove all the old stitching and go back in the same holes.

Would you kindly do a video on how to care for waxy suede boots? I've got a few pairs and I'm guessing it's a completely different process to raw suede?

Our kid only wears RMs but they have to have the rubber sole they are made with he won't wear them if there leather

Don’t know a lot about rm,but I believe the rubber soled one is the comfort craftsman with the sponge insole.

The red leather soles are factory original,ie signature series. That means they are the top end dress boot and v expensive,mine are super comfortable. What a disaster to put a rubber sole on them. Why not buy a factory rubber sole !!
