Cool tool. I need to split my casing on a YZ250h just to clean it out. The previous owner had already removed the piston but I found a spec of metal probably from the piston on the crank. I do not think I need to pull out the Transmission but just be able to get in there and clean out and inspect the gears.

we have that same tool and it works great and priced nicely.

Best tool ever. Do not mark up your crankcase trying to split it with a screwdriver or something else

I have the crank pusher tool. Have improvised homemade puller tool. Wish I'd just bought this one. Need to get over a lifetime of "stupid cheap". Time is more important.

Can i use this on a 1340 shovel head
@sn1per3286 ай бұрын
do you band the crankshaft with tool or its ready to go back in?
@rmatvmc6 ай бұрын
Band? Bend? No. This is to prevent damage to the crank and to keep it from being knocked out of true. It also helps prevent damage to other parts from separating it any other way. -Charles.

Can’t get the crank out from the other side because there is a bolt on the crank gear. Won’t come off

Do y’all sell the glue one can use when putting the cases back together since there is no gasket there?
@rmatvmc Жыл бұрын
We sure do! There are plenty of options so you will need to see what will work best for your specific application. You can check out liquid gaskets here: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/dirt-bike-liquid-gaskets

Can you just use regular high heat silicone bond to mate the 2 halves again or would you need the "glue"you mentioned at: 3:48 ?

Does it come with a case to keep things organized?
@rmatvmc Жыл бұрын
No it does not. Just the box it comes in.
@mattf3238 Жыл бұрын
@@rmatvmc do you offer one that does. Keeping a work area organized is very important.

The Motion Pro Crankcase Splitter V2 has a molded tray in the box to keep things organized but it doesn't come with a separate case.

Hi can anybody help I got a 1998 rm125 gear box problem the problem I can shift the shift drum by hand from 4th gear into 5th and back down into 4th but when I try to turn the shift drum from 4th gear down into 3rd the whole shift drum locks up solid and won't move could this be a bent shift folk or the actual shift drum itself any help appreciated

Ok I got the cases split. Now what tool do I need to get them back together?
@mikebianco29764 жыл бұрын
you shouldn't need a tool to get them back, just freeze your bearings and crank before disassembly and warm the cases.
