This video will take you through the Basics of Fuel Combustion in Diesel Engines.It will deal with #Selfignitiontemperature,#Ignitionlag, Necessity of #VIT etc etc. It will form the foundation to understand the topics like difference between VIT and Super VIT and also appreciate the algorith of Combustion of ME Electronic Engines to b edeat with in future videos. Min Engine RPM ,Need to advance and Retard and Why Aux Engines dont have VIT??

Have been banging my head to understand this concept. Nowhere it is emphasized about the relationship between rpm and self ignition temperature and the minimum rpm to start the engine, which is considered as a reference to understand the need for ignition advance. Your 14 minute video helped me to end my misery of two days. Thank you sir.🔥🔥🔥

Hold on..yr delight is a bit temporary..wait for part 2 which will come shortly..where we will be contradicting this very thing bcoz we will deal with the real stuff...what we have done in part 1 is the theorey..with lot of factors not considered for the sake of simplicity

Sir can we conclude ignition delay time varies with respect to rpm.. or ignition delay is inversely proportional to rpm. Ignition delay reduces rpm increases. To tackle this ignition delay we are using vit

Sir, at the end of the video, you are saying at low loads engine tends to become inefficient, if we don't advance fuel injection. But sir at low load means, low rpm so we need to retard injection for the combustion to be efficient, don't we?

Good day sir. I have an two doubts What is the difference between main engine combustion and boiler burner combustion 2. Is there any Sox and nox limitations for boiler. If yes? What is the value sir? If no then why no Sox and nox limitations.
@rmetcvideos
@rmetcvideos 2 жыл бұрын
I am not very thorough with this topic. Out of touch. But i guess the basic difference is in Engines..There is a peak pressure which is very high and hence NOX is the issue. But In boiler there is no issue of Nox. But SOX is beleive might be common..

Sir, there is a major confusion regarding the minimum ideal firing speed which could be achieved using various means. Initially i was used to the concept that this firing speed was in fact needed to raise the temperature of the combustion air suffient enough to self ignite the fuel. But here you said that this speed is needed so that the combustion does not take place too early and stall the engine. The right and left side of my brain are now at war over this issue. Please sir stop this war.

Ha ha..both are right..I also said that the S I temp depends upon the scavenge press and the time available for cooling water to cool the air...which means a good rpm is required..:-)

For making punch mark the distance is d/2 opposite side of crank pin where d is diameter of journal. Distance to be measured from centreline of crankshaft

Load is the power..If currents / winds are strong then the LOad may be high but RPM is same....If you increase RPM then ofcourse you are also increasing the load...
