Those arms came directly from a runway model... Super Skinny!

That looks so funny, skinny arms with big body lol but the frame is so versatile and so cheap, love it

Yea I cant complain for the price. I took a couple other quads apart and used the parts to build two more 6" Valorems

Project Blue Falcon nice the quality isn't even that bad on the carbon like you already said and how can they handle such a cheap price it's just incredible

I have the 6" arm add on.. love this frame.. it's fast as is.. but that's kool I can say adding 28mm or 30mm standoffs makes it lower profile and makes it a lot better looking .. pyro has some great 28mm stand offs for 99 cents set of 6..
@mcmcguirl

I'm pretty sure that's $0.99 a piece, not for 6.

I'm hoping there is a 7" stretch in the future line up. I'd love to run 7" arms with 6" props.

It looks like you could slam that thing with the 28mm standoffs they have for the QAV-XS (and other frames prolly. Would make it sleeker looking and probably improve flight characteristics. Also are you still planning to show an ESC repair? That 4in1 would be an awesome candidate.

DroneRodeo no problamo, make sure there's ~6mm between your FC stack and your top plate. I think the standard standoffs are about 34mm.

Any idea when the camera mounts and Rifle motors will be back in stock at RMRC? I've had to switch to the BrotherHobby Returner V4 2206 2600. They're amazing and seem to keep up with the Rifles. I have three quads waiting on the camera mounts. Can't wait to see the stretch x fly. I just ordered a GepRC stretch X frame to give it a try. The standard GepRC 5" frame is a very nice frame.

JC, I was in Muncie Friday but not Saturday. Man, wanted to meet you and ask questions about the Stretch X. I'm building the true X but want to build the SX. Using a 4in1 ESC and want make sure my wires are long enough for the switch to the skinny sx arms. Can you measure yours and pass on the info. I check RMRC hourly to see when they are up for sale. Do you have an extra set, buddy o pal?

What do you think about super light versus normal race build so 350 vs 500g the super light has high kv motors such as 2750kv and the normal around 2500kv both running cyclones v3 but the normal tri prop and super light twin blade so how would that compare to each other, if you don't know you don't have to answer it I'm just curious

Thumbs_Fpv I'm running same frame RF Revolt and Bolt esc.. 2700 kv motors and 5" props and this frame hauls with it

I think its just a feeling thing. Both will perform well. Some guys swear by super light builds, some swear by heavier builds. I honestly think there are a lot of theories being thrown around of why one is better than the other. But from my experience its just a difference in feel. Dont think either is right or wrong, just user preference.

Hi JC, how do you like these DYS SE 2205?

What are your thoughts on kabafpv's claim that if your quad is super light (250g) the carbon fiber you sacrifice for weight will be made up for with durability due to the extreme lightness. I understand that the lighter a quad is, the less inertia it will have in a crash but would the lack of inertia make up for the major decrease in carbon fiber protecting electronics and motors? I was goin to do a rebuild of my quad and switch out the frame vtx and escs for a 4-in-1 esc, micro vtx, and his 50g frame. I have the brotherhobby 2205 motors (26g) that i plan to put on the frame too. I understand that frames like this are minimalist frames designed for performance increase at the cost of durability but kabab argues otherwise that you can have both if you build it light. What are your thoughts?
@ProjectBlueFalcon
@ProjectBlueFalcon 7 жыл бұрын
I know Kabab is all about 250g quads, and the logic is there of lighter weight quads not breaking as easy. Just in my opinion the lighter ones have broken easier. I cant prove or disprove either theory so I dont worry about it so much.

Project Blue Falcon my light quads seem to break just as easy as the heavier ones. Heck, I broke an indestructible armattan Japalura frame. It was replaced for $5 shipping fee.

I have the 5" arms and broke 1 whenI lost signal at high altitude. I've been searching for replacements, but can't find it. It's very weird that RMRC would sell 6" and 7" arms, but not the more common 5". Do you know if they'll be adding the 5" arms as well? Or do they have it and I'm just blind?
@JustinDDavis
@JustinDDavis 7 жыл бұрын
Xudus FPV They didn't have them yet. Nor do I see regular replacement arms going to be available. I ended up buying 3 frames total just for the arms. I have only broken 1. $16 frame...$4 an arm...not to bad really...beats not flying.
