Wow, so lovely - thank you for sharing this. Many (many) years ago I was taken for lunch to a pub in Monkseaton on the outskirts of Whitley Bay, not far from the River Tyne in Northumberland, England. I think it might have been called the Black Horse. The lounge bar had the most gorgeous panelling in it - in a polished satinwood, in Regency style, and I was told it came out of the Mauritania or the Aquitainia - I can’t remember which - but it was gorgeous. I really enjoyed that sandwich and my sherry, because of the beautiful panelling that glowed in the sunlight. It was so stunning. Unfortunately we never returned, but I hope it’s still there. The panelling in this video reminds me of it very much.

Very nice! A suggestion for if you do a v.3, though: slow down a little bit! You moved through so fast that there wasn't time to see everything...

@@Zebulon_F and they couldn't have set it up as a Musiem in a harber like they did with the queen marry? Also what I saw here in this simulation the ship did not look outdated not like The Lusitania and Mauritania would be and when was the ship built? Also did the ship have any voyages in 1945 or 46 or 47?

@@chrismaccool9097 They couldn't set it up as a museum because I think it would've been very expensive as she was scrapped right after World War 2. Indeed, she doesn't look that outdated since she was built in 1914. Yup, the ship had voyages during these years. She was mostly transporting soldiers but later a little bit of immigrants.

Hmm...well, she was called "The Ship Beautiful," and if this is an accurate depiction, count me unimpressed. Titanic, Olympic, and Queen Mary, to name three, I believe had far more attractive interiors. Maybe it was a Cunard thing, all the white walls, because Lusitania and Mauretania had a lot of them, too. I prefer the warm color wood paneling of the White Star ships.
