My worry is. Even if it checks out. An old engine, has already put on a lot of hours. It may go a long time, with care. But to then pull a lot more power out of it. Will it last?

I’m in the same boat as you. My 97 300,000km burnt a valve, first time I drove it hard, going through the mountains. Had to redo the head, put a 94 turbo head on. My 97 with 240-250,000 is good, my 97 with 220,000 had to do valve seals. Just bought a 98 with 185,000, runs great, valve seals again.

@@billpetersen298 Mine doesnt have any valve seal problems yet. doesnt burn oil at all either. Just had to do the pcv system a few weeks ago. you are still right however it is an old engine. I wouldnt mind some more power though and espacially better fuel consumption.

Robert, I have an 08 c70 2.5L t5 with bad motor and i have an 08 s60 2.5L t5 with a good motor. Can I drop the s60 motor into the c70 without much modifications? any info would be much appreciated!

not a fan of them custom jobs....problems right from the get go ..small ones but VVT hubs im not a fan of either....now the wagon if I were to drive a wagon that's the one for me ..that color is SWEET !!!

The hubs lock closed because no wiring is connected to them.
