Clearly you don’t live in a cold climate. I live in Canada and need, heated seats, heated steering wheel, remote starter, and even heated side mirrors just to get through the winters here. EV’s have yet to prove their viability here if parked outside all winter. We all know that batteries don’t last long in the cold but that seems to be lost on those who don’t have chargeable power tools.

You are 100% right. I don’t like the new cars. Too much electronics no need that crap. You’re better off with a four barrel carburetor and a 350 engine no computer easy to work on. The old days when you put a fuel pump on, it was outside on the fender when you open the hood. You didn’t have to tear your gas tank that part. When I was 16, my first vehicle was a wheelie Jeep. Made in 1945. It didn’t go fast. I could work on it with mostly crescent wrenches I have to admit it didn’t have much of a heater I put some vacuum windshield wipers on it Those were the days it was totally dependable I bet my 1945 army Jeep if I still had, it would be better than these cyber trucks.

My battery failed in my 2018 Toyota Corolla LE . It only cost me $235 Canadian to replace it at local Toyota dealer . 7 year old battery before it failed . Less costly than an EV battery, lol 😅

I work at a local factory in KY where we make the side windows for that damn cybertruck. Tesla's orders for these windows went way up several months ago. It went down come January. We don't make as much glass for Tesla as we used to; looks like their orders went down. An associate at work a few months back said that the State of California was, or is considering, using the cybertruck in law enforcement there. Pfft....I thought, "Good luck with that.....they'll need it..." 😏

opinions are all over the place about these things. It's still way too soon to tell. Give it time for individual Tesla's to reach the 10 year mark en masse. Erratic opinions all over the place is a bad sign. Toyota has a pretty consistently good ratings for LONG TERM reliability, which is the whole definition of reliability

I bought a Mercedes C200 in 2003, with minimal electronics. I am fortunate that I have a Mercedes guy within walking distance of where I live, here in Athens Greece. It runs like a one would expect a Mercedes to run. You can keep your Tesla.

So they're getting recalled for the self-driving computer failure but what they're not getting recalled for is failure to have the third brake light in that's higher than the rest. The cyberjunk has a higher percentage of getting rear-ended because they do not follow the law and put in a separate third tail light that is higher.

Electric cars don’t have to suck. I’ve had a Chevy Bolt EV since November 2017. It has a shift knob and control stalks. The Bolt passed the girlfriend test. I gave her the key and told her to drive it, which she did with no instruction. I dare anyone to try that with the over-computerized mess which is Tesla.
