Gonna be real, One Piece has a filler problem, but it's not filler episodes, it's filler scenes. I still think it's (mostly) all worth watching, but if you wanna safe time then I recommend watching One Pace which is a fan cut of One Piece with filler scenes cut out.

In actuality, One Piece only has like a 100 episodes of filler. It has pacing issues similar to OG Dragon Ball Z for the anime. I am glad I gotten into it back in high school and caught up because I definitely wouldn't have the time now as an adult.

I'll be honest with you watching one piece can take you months or years depending how long you take to watch it. However, if you do plan on watching it I'll suggest watching it one to two episodes at a time. The reason why it's long is because of the world building aspect of it. Other than that take your time to watch at your own pace whenever you are ready. You'll enjoy it.

One Piece is a really good show, but don't listen to the Oda meat riders who glaze everything and form an internet hivemind about how every character is expertly written or some shit. I love the story and am up to date with the manga, but Luffy and Zoro meat riders piss me off. They oversell the story and their favourite characters. Also, enjoy early One Piece, that was peak One Piece.
