Thanks for the nitty-gritty detail on doing an RNAV approach. As ever, "the devil's in the details".

The 530/430 are not quite working correctly on my copy to load the approach. But this got me going in the right direction. Thank you!

Thanks, glad it helped. There are some mods you can get to make the Garmins run better!

@@Taylair oh, I didn't realize that. I'll look for them, it's pretty bad out of the box. Thanks again

Great Video. Thanks. If you could do the same flight with the G1000/172 would be great.

Absolutely, it's already on my list. I have been having issues with FS2020 since the recent update, but I will start working on it as soon as possible!

Am i to understand this is not possible to do properly without the plates? Like the GPS wont tell you the required altitudes at the fix?

Some more advanced systems will have the vertical profile information programmed in but you would still be required to have the official publication of the procedure on board in some form, like paper or electronic plates

Curious why no vertical guidance? Great video btw.

I don’t think I’ve ever got LPV guidance on the MSFS G530. Not tried it for a while though!

@@Taylair So I assume that the REAL 430/530 provides a glide path if the approach has one? So this is just a long term quirk of MSFS?
@Taylair2 жыл бұрын
Not all Garmin units have WAAS capability, so not all will be able to do LPV
