The line "where do we go now!" was there because there were no more lyrics. Axl had only written two verses and couldn't think of anything, but it still works so well!

Just catching up!! Saw these guys 3 times in concert. Slash(lead guitar) is so incredibly talented. I love the way you picked up on Axel’s vocal technique. They were a Force!

Hi RND, thanks for this. Don't let anybody give you crap for calling different stuff "rock." Something like this would definitely be considered a representative example of rock, but there is often a hyphen when you define it, because "rock is too broad and vague. This could be "hair band" rock, "garage band" rock, "classic" rock, or something else. There's prog rock, country rock, blues rock -

All Metal and sorts of rock are still rock 😉. When i was young in 70`s there were rock and hard rock. And then all the dividing happened. Even punk was rock just a bit more raw.

GN'R best genre classification would be "Hard Rock" (something inbetween Rock n' Roll and Heavy Metal). They're one of the last Hard Rock bands to explode in popularity world wide before rock started losing ground to grunge, R&B-Hip Hop, Rap in the 90s, 2000s. And they're my favorite band ever as well.

I love so much that you all get to react to the incredible music I grew up with. This was written about one of the Everly Brothers daughters. She and Axel were married for a short time. It's a long story. She's not the girl in this video.

This song is about Erin Everly (the woman in the white blazer with the movie camera). She was Axl’s girlfriend at the time. Her father is Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers.

Guns n Roses have been the biggest Hard Rock / Classic Heavy Metal Band in the late 80s and early 90s. They were insanely huge. Although this was known as the era of "hair metal" they kind of were not but still were caught by Nirvana and what was called "Grunge" but in fact was just a change in music style in the early and mid 90s which should have been in favour of Guns n Roses but... just... was not. Hard to explain. Biggest problem in the end was the lead singer Axl Rose and his mental state that was ... well... rather unique. Probably others mentioned the typical hits of Guns n Roses. I would recommend "Civil War" cause in my opinion this is the core of what a classic hard rock song is - even more than "Sweet Child o mine" cause its a bit heavier and has more changes in dynamics. Anyway - thanks for your reaction and all the best for you and your channel.

Written fir Erin Everly daughter of Don Everly. Axls girlfriend. Dark hair girl in video. He Hass a range more than most singers 5 octaves. He speaks in a baritone voice.

Great job with your reaction and thoughts on this video for Sweet Child Of. Mine From Guns and Roses . The Lady who you see at 3:56 sec in the video was Axl Rose girlfriend at the time Erin Everly she is related to one of the members of the Everly Brothers . The director of the video Nigel's Dick work as the director of Your Crazy and Hit Me Baby One More Time from Britney Spears.
@rorybisson7562 ай бұрын
so, this video was a nightmare to make. im 99.9% sure the director of this video quit the biz after this and possibly had a breakdown. this song/video is the exact point in the band's history where they start to drift apart. the fact this video even got made due to the drug/booze/women in and around the set is a blasted miracle honestly. i mean most of the songs and videos by the band have a wild story to them, this one however IMO takes the cake because it was the video equal to Fleetwood Mac making the Rumours album in the studio in terms of all the outside shit almost getting in the way of a masterpiece.

I never really pay attention to genres of music. It doesn't matter except to gatekeeping purists. It's all just music, either you enjoy it or not. I've been alive a looong time. I've watched music transform from doo wop to what we have today. Why do people always act like they have to label everything, it just causes division and arguments.
