This feels like the video game(?) equivalent of those VHS tapes which "teach you how to win at slot machines", I might not want to play the wave of turn-based RPGs coming out at the same time but at least those are actual games 😝

I humbly request bonus content of a video where you take your Famicom to a horse track, plug it in off to the side somewhere, start entering in all the data, fight off security because they ironically & hilariously consider what you're doing cheating, place a small bet, but astonishingly win big and then order any sticker shock grail games you may still be missing.

I honestly considered going through the effort with a real horse race of getting all of the data the software wanted, inputting it all, and looking at what the outcome was. Then I realized it would be days of looking up and inputting data for a joke that only I would find funny.

well now you know that it would be a joke that you and at least one other person finds funny

I wonder if there is anything under the hood of this game in regards to trying to make sense of all the data you give it or is all just for show

You sure said "horse" a lot in this episode. I could make a "hoarse" joke but I shall rein myself in :P

Feel bad for all the salary men who happened to win big after using this and then developed a superstition that compelled them to keep using this

Thank you for continuing to cover EVERY game, even if it's not a game. There's sadly not even the cute graphics of other horse racing simulators in this one. Feels like all the graphical effort went into that title screen. These overpriced "grown up" famicom titles must have been getting on consumers' nerves at the time. What are they even using the MMC3 for in this one? The variable tracking? Such a waste.

Haven't we seen that exact intro screen before?

I think it's just horse racing games all look the same.
