Fortunately during my career at sea and working offshore in the Oil industry I was lucky enough to have never had to avail myself of there services but have always admired the crews that risk their onw lives to help save others. They are the real heroes.

A really interesting and well crafted video. Great work and thanks to all our volunteers saving lives at sea and around our coasts and waterways. The RNLI is one of our great institutions.

The B class, Atlantic has an airbag fitted to the mast frame. This can be activated in the case of capsize and the inflated bag will cause the lifeboat to right itself.

Spoilt by the awful voiceover: rowin', sailin', changin'??? Speak properly, for heaven's sake!

And "lootenant" 🤦♂️ But otherwise a wonderful reflection on what can be achieved with determination and mass participation.
