Not a bad day on the water, that water was so clear you have to cast a country mile to keep the bass from seeing you - I love that camp fire

Not sure how I missed all these comments on this video. My apologies. That water sure is clear. And guess what that body of water is called "MUD LAKE" LOL. Thanks for checking out the video my friend.

I'm fishing here right now. According to the sportsman's connection guidebook, this lake has pickerel. Maybe that's what it was?

Hey Lee, great video. Shows how tough fishing can truly be. Just curious, did you or Wes ever try soft plastics on/around those pads when you guys kept missing the strikes? Something like a Texas rig or shakey head with lizards or worms. Just checking because I have some of the same problems with missing strikes so I slow it down with soft plastics and seem to hook up a little better. Appreciate you sharing, keep up the good work and see you on the next one 🎣

My apologies, don't know how I missed the comments on this video. Thanks for the rigging tip with the soft plastics. We had not tossed soft plastics that outing. But we have done that in the past although not with the shakey head. Thanks for watching my friend.

Did you ever find out if that was a musky or a Northern?
@rapantoutdoors360 Жыл бұрын
Never did find out. Never thought to look at the sensory pores on the underside of the jaw at the time I had the fish in my hands, Pike usually has 10 of these small sensory pores. While Musky usually 15 to 18. Not sure if that would have been a definite answer if it was a hybrid. But it might have helped make it clearer. The mix of the markings and colorations made me think hybrid. I'll just have to try to catch that fish again. LOL. Thanks for checking out the video.

@@rapantoutdoors360 My buddies and I have been fishing this lake since 1977 and have caught many of those there. Big ones as well and have asked EVERYONE including guides, game wardens and pro fisherman...and nobody is completely sure what they are. We call them Nuskies!

Nice to know. There must be a decent population of them. So far that's the only one caught by any of the RO360 crew. We have many muskie but only one like that. Thanks for the info and thanks for checking out this RO360 episode. I have a few more Musky videos out. Some getting into the details of how and why. And a few from our Canada trips. Check them out. I think you will find them intresting.
