Roach Pit guest session

It's not very often you get the chance to fish one of the most iconic waters in the UK as a guest! Thanks to the owner Alan Cooper I was invited down to the mighty Roach Pit at Ringwood for a 72-hour session. All I wanted was to fish there. To catch one would have been a bonus. I didn't care what it weighed. To get one of the rare 'originals' was a dream! Myself and Alan talk about the legendary water, his ownership, stocking policy, and what the water's like. We also cover tactics as we try our hardest to get one of the tricky residents to make a mistake.

That one is a true original from the late 80's stocking - probably only about 5 of that very first batch left. The other 'originals' are from the mid and late 90's. Nice one!

Fished there when it was day ticket in the mid eighties. Used to stay on a small campsite right next to it. It's grown up a lot since then. I still had yellow bottle tops and a bag of richworths back then and caught nothing but tench! love your monthly vids mate. No nonsense, proper angling. Beautiful fish too :~)

Ah that’s memories for me. I used to fish the Roach Pit in the 90’s when it was part of Christchurch Angling Club. I sat it out for a month in a very cold winter and caught a 28lb pike. Also used to be the best big tench water in Summer as well.

Now this was great as I too fish a lake with the same name not big 7/9 in size with only 35 fish 7 being 35 years plus old and to catch one is special but this lake too can serve many a blank great watch need a longer blog please 🤣🤣👍🏻✌🏻

Yes its a great watch ! But what was the most annoying thing about this video is !!! Another syndicate lake which has waiting list shut ! All local clubs ( ringwood , Christchurch and wimbourne ) are over membershiped. Please do other vidios but please don't say its at a syndicate lake which most off us will never have the chance to even put our name on the list ! The best comment was " you just can't just rock up here and catch them " how to rub salt into a wound !!! And the final straw is what a fantastic lake it looks !!! With stunning fish!!

Sorry bud but my channel is aimed at all areas of the carping spectrum and not just the ‘how to’ niche.
