A nice and fun Ops session with built-in complications with so many trains and only so much track space. I love a good switching challenge. Like you said, paperwork is key! Nothing like a detailed switchlist...

Thank you for that, I spend many hours doing the lists before a session to make sure it is fun and purposeful

Another great vid, that mirror at the end of the yard works great at making the yard look massive

Hi Steve, Another great ops session video, thank you for uploading it and yes I'm enjoying your videos. I'm also enjoying the light hearted humor in the video and the little Easter eggs, like the highway traffic on Grant Ave changes when the video comes back to the Grant Ave crossing, nice little Easter Egg. I know your layout has a track that runs down to a hidden storage yard below the layout, what does that interchange track represent, North Bessemer? Do you have an interchange with the former P&WV / N&W on your layout? In the past you've mentioned a Montour Railroad Interchange, do you use the same interchange for the P&WV / N&W since the Montour had trackage rights over the P&WV West Mifflin Branch? Thanks again Steve and I look forward to future ops videos on your layout. Cheers, Rich S.

So you spotted some Easter Eggs!! That makes me laugh, nobody else has mentioned them. The trackage that goes underneath the layout to the staging yard, represents the Montour interchange and the Wheeling and Lake Erie interchange or N&W based on the timeline. You may catch in some of the videos, the shelving units that I have underneath the layout which represents the entire outside world. Cars come off of those shelves and go to the staging yard first and then make their way finally up to the main portion of the layout to the Duquesne class Yard. Every time that there is a new session, I am writing a whole new set of switch lists and tracklists, it keeps things moving and generally, you’ll never see the same cars for three months back on the layout. Makes for a good variety, thank you so much for catching the Easter eggs and your comments.
