Road Atlanta SCCA Majors - STL Race 2 - March 2017

Second win driving the Carbotech/Auto Assets STL EG Civic, that's a clean sweep! While race 1 was the most fun, this was the most crazy. I started from pole and as soon as I went around turn 12, I knew the car was going to be a handful the entire race. It wanted to kill me with absolutely zero rear grip. The temps were in the mid 30's but I have a feeling something else might be up with it because it was evil. I almost lost it turn 5, went off in turn 7 and a couple of laps later, lost it in 10a and went off in 10b. I lost the pack, they were gone. At that point I was ready to coast to the finish because it wasn't worth pushing it. However a full course caution brought everyone together so I gave it my all and battled Mike and David for the lead. During that battle was when those two made contact ending Mike's day. For the last couple of laps, me and David in the STL Miata raced hard for 1st constantly swapping positions but I was able to hold him off for the win in the end!First win driving the Carbotech/Auto Assets STL EG Civic, I'm on cloud nine, unbelievable! This was by far the most fun race ever! The top three STL cars were extremely close the whole race. I fell back to third on the start but moved up to first right before a full course caution that ended the race. I didn't want to win under a caution but that's racing. Ended up running a 1:38.209 as soon as I got out front. Thanks Carbotech Brakes, Auto Assets and all those who helped me win yet another National Race!

Heart when car gets ahead of, or hair behind the track and you drive it out of the rough spots! I've seen too many talented drivers just have a angry fit and quit crashing the race or car. Seat time and review and then there is those times when car or tires are rude...lol! Good job and we all had gravel in the wheel wells....are we were not stretching car/driver abilities....to be better. Keep on having a great 40 minute life. You really make a person hungry for stick and a good chassis open road with enough curves to make you snug the belts twice!!! Thank You for sharing!

I think I've said this before but it's crazy we have almost the exact same driving style. It's so satisfying to watch lol. Way to keep in it after some mistakes/car trying to kill you moments. lol @24:25 he followed ur smoke ;-)

Man this second race was a little sketchy car was all over the place, but overall good hard racing. Good luck on the rest of the season.
