1:45 laps in 500+ Hp cars.. In NASA Time Trials I was consistently getting 1:40-1:42 timesheets on good runs in a 260 RWHP Mustang with A/C and Stereo that I still drive on the street today. LoL

Stroke that 302 out and don’t forget a motor plate. The cheapest ide go on internals would be eagle. Get a 750 plus carb for it unless its fuel injected. Make sure you have a ford racing clutch, and at least an 8-8 rear end which come stock in them years , with some 31 spline axles. But most important run some good synthetics and race fuel at least 105 octane. Plus a duel fan on that radiator keep that motor cool. Oh and please go with a ford racing cam don’t be stupid haha. Sounds great and responds hard under load,, up and down,, Does sound a bit rough at some points,,, Did you hurt something or is the setup such that it is very advanced?
