Roadhouse, one of my favorites. Great bad guys. Remake is good too. It is out on Max now too. Joe, I can see messing up remembering Kurt Russell and Patrick Swayze. Both had great mullets.

i was never a fan of swayze, i have only enjoyed a couple of his films, outsiders being the stand out one but i did enjoy ghost, which surprised me as i am not usually into cheesy love stories but it had a decent enough twist (and of course whoopie who i am a MASSIVE fan of helped) and he has appeared in some other films that have been decent, donnie darko and next of kin being reasonably watchable. this road house was just a cheap attempt at tapping into a trend of "beat em ups" that quite a few studios were guilty of trying to make money on in the late 80's and for me this was not one of the better ones. i do know a few that do like this film, but for me this tried to be too serious and i prefer my beat em ups to be more tongue in cheek dis-association from reality like the schwarzenegger, stallone and even van damme films. if i was to suggest a film to someone who hadn't watched a patrick swaze film the only one i would highly recommend is the outsiders. while dated for the younger people it is still a decent slice of classic filmage from the early 80's. kurt russel on the other hand has featured in many more watchable movies both comedic and serious that are better than swayzes collection. its not that patrick is a bad actor either, maybe just choices of films that don't align with my tastes and often poorer quality productions. as a side note my wife is a big swayze fan and we have had many "discussions" on his acting roles 😏

1. This was my first Patrick Swazye movie and I've seen as many of his other films as I could. RIP Pat😇 2. He started doing ballet but injured his knee so he took up acting. "Ghost", "The Outsiders", "Dirty Dancing" and "Red Dawn" would be more of him. 3. Who doesn't love Sam Elliot? 4. Location goof: Mountains can be seen in some long shots. There aren't any mountains near Kansas City. 5. This didn't get the love it deserved. It has now become classic. 6. This holds the claimed title "The best bad movie ever". I disagree. I love it.😁 7. The new one is crap. It tries too hard, and there's no redeeming character in the movie. Including Dalton. No $20 from ne
