Road of Cherry Blossom Tree 🌸 - Needle Painting Landscape Hand Embroidery Time Lapse

Hi everyone, this is Winnie. Would like to share with you my work of this week: a park with cherry blossom trees, Like always, I draw directly onto the fabric, using a water soluble pen. Then I start thread painting, first the sky, then the grass. After all the background is done, I make the trucks and branches, this will help to guide me through the process of stitching the flower. Then it’s long hours of stitching flowers by using French knot. Really long hours... Hope you will like it.
Stitches used: Long & short stitch, needle painting, French Knot
Time to make : about 45 hours
Fabric: Cotton
Thread: Cotton thread 1 strand, 2 strands for French knot

Thanks, size is 7 inches, one strand for the sky, background and grass. 1-3 strands for French knots. 😊

I would recommend to use thin canvas or felt, fabric that is a bit hard. For the thread, DMC is good, lots of colors.
